Victorian Labor MP denies assault allegations after being made to quit the party

Victorian government MP Will Fowles has rejected assault allegations after he was made to quit the parliamentary Labor Party. Premier Daniel Andrews says the matter has been referred to police.

FFS surely the Labor Party can find better candidates than this. It’s often said that no one who wants to be a polititian is a good choice. Maybe we need to stop having willing candidates for parliament and have a compulsory system where we can nominate and vote for anyone, whether they actually want to be a polititian or not.
