Programmer Humor@lemmy.ml•Scam Altman says it’ll take another year before ChatGPT can start a timer. An $852 billion company, ladies and gentlemen.
4·6 days agoI agree. The tech of an LLM is really cool and impressive. But what the tech market and finance markets have made of it is just really fucking sad. I really hope the bubble fucking bursts

Programmer Humor@lemmy.ml•Scam Altman says it’ll take another year before ChatGPT can start a timer. An $852 billion company, ladies and gentlemen.
33·6 days agoThis is correct. LLM’s are just the knowledge and information processing bit of our brain. To actually do things we need access to things like our limbs, eyes, ears, watch, computer,…
Which is why my comment in this thread spoke of an mcp tool and a webhook, which is all thats needed. So a year for that? Fuck off, thats absurdly long for 2 things that already exist and just need to br plugged in the source…

3·6 days agoA year? To make a mcp tool that starts a timer and a website hook that listens for the timer?
Alright, thats kinda fucked lol

Autism@lemmy.world•I personally dislike calling myself neurodivergent
11·29 days agoI can relate, a bit. Personally i dont care nor mind. I always come in from a “im like this” angle, never from a “i have x” angle, which means labels like autism or adhd dont do much for me. I am how i am, and i know how to deal with it to make it easier for me, or others, and if i cant or dont want to and you cant? Thats a you issue, bugger off.
Also, how do you feel about being called neurospicy? :')

Technology@lemmy.zip•Windows 11 is getting support for 1,000 Hz+ monitors soon as part of Insider builds — Microsoft has reportedly increased the refresh rate limit to 5,000 HzEnglish
11·1 month agoBecause, somewhere, somehow, the operating system probably did not allocate the slices of time for monitor refresh rates to be pushed to hardware that fast…
…
That or the code didnt give you the option as its internal enums didnt include such high refresh rates.Take your pick, either are legit things that could have been the reason and are very normal things to come across in this scenario
Not yet. Ive been too busy tbh. I assume that, like many linux tools, its a bitch to report something. Not just a easy bug tracker or something
Pipewire has some neat tricks that i use on a daily basis but i can also make it crash on demand so idk :p. I have a restart script in my home directory for that exact reason.
It just does not like audio going out my gpu, together with video, through my receiver and into my tv.
Receiver not on while linux was booting? Guess what, pipewire reboot. Tv goes off because of “inactivity”? Thats a pipewire reboot… And yet i love pipewire haha. But ye, audio issues are still a thing
