Makes sense. It’s still a wonderful image and the haze fits the atmosphere of the scene. If it was too sharp the photo would become unnatural.
This is a really great shot. I love the minimalism and negative space.
Personally, I might increase the sharpness/contrast around the pole and bird so it pops a bit more, but that could also be Internet compression or just personal taste.


Car drivers break the law at a far higher rate than cyclists. The are way more accidents not involving bikers. Sorry people being healthy and helping the environment while reducing traffic is a slight inconvenience to you while you sit in a climate controlled box.

They have drivers safety classes you can take in a day or weekend that make a big difference. A lot of them are on closed tracks that help you with extreme situations and quick reactions. I would look into one of those near you to help with skills and confidence.
But, I prefer to bike whenever possible and use public transportation. If that’s an option for you, there’s nothing wrong with it and it’s much better for your health and the environment.
