Hey, I just set this up yesterday! Worked flawlessly for me so far, seems like a great project.
Ughhhhhh, just logging in in the morning and seeing the tab header go to ‘Inbox (27)’ is awful.
+1 for airvpn. I’ve never had any issues, port forwarding works flawlessly, and you can get some incredible deals if you buy 3 years at a time during a sale.
That’s fucking awesome.
+1 for MAM, both their community and collection is excellent.
I’m fond of wassail. It’s usually made with cinnamon, but you could exclude it and it should turn out alright.
The colors on that are kinda confusing. 6tn years is yellow, but 2k years is green?
I’m guessing they knew that it likely wasn’t a problem with being ugly, so the therapist did this ‘experiment’ as a way of demonstrating that. Seems pretty solid to me, actually.
Took me all of 30mins to spin up a local invidious instance. Worth every second
Likewise… haven’t found a good way to do this yet.
As soon as I noticed this, I immediately grabbed a userscript that removes it. It’s incredible how much screen they managed to waste with the shorts display
Agreed, the ability to seamlessly switch between which instance you’re viewing from and which account to use is really cool. It makes me wish I had a desktop client with that option (which probably exists honestly, I’m just not aware of one)
I really hope that the existing Lemmy instances can handle all the new users
This is excellent, thank you.
I believe it just means that the instance you tried to subscribe to hasn’t responded to the federation request yet. Just wait a while and it’ll resolve itself, assuming they haven’t blocked you or something (and assuming that instance isn’t down).
Thank you for this instance, truly. I love the idea behind lemmy, but have some doubts regarding the practices and stances of the major instances, so this seems perfect for me. I hope lemmy takes off and can scale as gracefully as possible in the years to come.
Thanks for the link to Tagger, I’ve been looking for something like that. Looks like I have some library cleanup to do, I’ve been putting it off for years now lmao
