is this about airflow? that really is valid, people don’t get enough fresh air inside imo.
about the cats, yeah, they definitely deserve a spot next to you.
edit: i checked and yes it’s about co2 buildup. keep the air moving, open that door.

Technology@lemmy.world•Women in Brussels 'filmed without their knowledge' by men wearing Meta smart glassesEnglish
111·5 days agothere are open source android apps that tell you when a meta rayban is nearby (using the phone’s ability to scan nearby bluetooth devices) which isn’t really good enough but it’s something i guess

if you’re a woman and the creep is a man, there’s always the option of pepper spray i guess, though then you will have to justify yourself somehow. i don’t think predominantly male chud cops will accept the reasoning of “i feel unsafe” from women, even if it’s true and valid.
as for impractical ideas, you can always carry around a 5W laser pointer and then try and fry the camera. of course does not work irl.
true, you’re right, I didn’t consider that properly in the context of the movie. i apologize.

3·11 days agoSpeedcubes are incredible. There are different ways of solving one that suit different people. if you don’t want to learn lots of algorithms there’s the beginner method or roux, if you have a medium taste for algorithms there’s cfop (with 1-look and 2-look variants of OLL and PLL) and if you’re a memorization slut there’s always ZB with its 774 algorithms to learn. I love it. Then there are also algorithms and solutions for higher order puzzles, and also ones for different puzzle shapes. It’s an awesome hobby. And if you get a good cube set up right the feel is really good too.
On windows 11 you can turn your regular cursor various colors, including green and pink, and I wish KDE could do that. I could edit cursor vectors myself, but I don’t wanna. Too lazy. I like colorful cursors because they’re easier to find and track, but I don’t want those big bloated cutesy cursors.
my personal headcanon is that the universe is a giant living being and we are its fundamental particles or some other infeasibly tiny thing
idk what that has to do with light speed and space-time but you can think of that yourself i guess
with it you can calculate your way out of a cult, which is obviously devilish
i see. I’m sorry. good luck with your search for good sodas. i mostly just drink water and occasionally a glass of diluted juice. i really like juice due to it not being carbonated, but i still run into the issue of it being too strong and overwhelming, hence the dilution.
to me everything with carbonation tastes of overwhelmed senses that can barely taste anything
i feel stupid because I can’t really tell a difference. i don’t or can’t pay attention to the specific taste of the sweetness. i don’t mind sweetener anyhow.

8·26 days agosadly obsidian isn’t foss. i still like it though.
and yeah with the recent bambulab controversy in the 3d printing community it was noticeable years earlier if you just paid attention. but paying attention takes active effort too. being a discerning consumer/user/creator is difficult.

why not both? both is good.
