Remember when NBC hired Kelly in 2017, she gave Putin a platform to spread his propaganda, she got demoted, and then eventually fired for racism? Who could have guessed that she was just another maga conspiracy nut?

I hate that the press never mentions that it was Trump who agreed to release 5000 Taliban fighters before the attack on the airport at Kabul.

Load virus on to banking system to embezzle fraction of cents on each financial operation.
Good thing the right wing media they relentlessly consume doesn’t constantly invent things to be afraid of.
As a parent of a teenager who has tonic-clonic seizures (aka grand mal), this story made me nauseous. A patient recovering from a seizure has absolutely no ability to respond or understand what’s going on. Police should be helping and making sure he’s on his side, not tasing him. Whoever these cops are should be fired immediately. I hope Mr Frankel bankrupts the department.
Also leaving zero time for screening of chromosomal defects. What a horrible place to try to start a family.
Not that easy when it’s a fleet of servers in multiple remote data centers. Lots of IT folks will be spending their weekend sitting in data center cages.
WSJ this morning. The last bit is a stunning self own after Cannon flushed the last remaining parts of the justice system down the toilet today.
“Leaders on both sides need to stop describing the stakes of the election in apocalyptic terms. Democracy won’t end if one or the other candidate is elected. Fascism is not aborning if Mr. Trump wins, unless you have little faith in American institutions.”
Just got back from a 3 day trip to Brussels, we loved it. Plus, Smurfs (Les Schtroumpfs) everywhere. We did take a day trip to Bruges though, that was even better than Brussels IMHO. Especially since I could walk around saying to my wife “If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Bruges might impress me but I didn’t, so it doesn’t.”.
The oligarchs have already started funneling money to trump to try to avoid having to pay more tax.
His cult will only hear what he said. The media will ignore it because the campaign said the opposite. And the electorate who don’t pay attention won’t have a clue what’s coming if trump and project 2025 take over the government.
meanwhile, the ex-president can’t attend the hearing on the unlicensed bond he claimed to secure for the nine-figure fraud judgment against him because he’s in a different court on trial for charges of criminal falsification of records to influence an election
The 2017 tax bill that the Republicans rammed through had a time bomb in it for software developers. Starting in 2022, companies could no longer expense R&D costs, and instead had to amortize them over 5 years. This has led to massive tax bills in 2023 for companies. I have no doubt that this is another major factor in the recent tech layoffs.
Take an imaginary bootstrapped software business called “Acme Corp.” This company generates $1,000,000 of revenue per year running a SaaS service. It employs five engineers, and pays each $200,000. That is $1,000,000 paid in labor costs. For simplicity, we omit other costs like servers and hosting, even though those costs can also fall under the new R&D rules, and have to be amortized. So, how much taxable profit does this company make?
In 2021, the answer would be zero profit. In 2022, the answer was $900,000 in profits(!!)

Assume positive intent. Amazing how much lower stress your stress levels will be if you don’t feel attacked (on the road, on social media, in conversations, etc).
Oh yeah, and buy a bidet. Your bum will thank you.
Every time he trots out this lame attempt to avoid accountability, this is what I think of (from Lethal Weapon 2).
Classic: A Christmas Carol, the 1951 version with Alastair Sim. Sim’s giddy portrayal of Scrooge on Christmas morning is one of my favorite performances of any actor.
Modern: A Christmas Story, and Elf.
I haven’t seen The Always Sunny podcast mentioned yet. If you like IASIP, this is a must listen.
Florida (desantis) recently enacted concealed carry, so I’ll be curious to see what law this nut actually broke.
