It must be said that Florida is choosing to fall far behind Alabama. Alabama has a lot of issues that are generational and it’ll take a long time to fix when they decide to start getting their shit together. Florida was fine before. It could’ve stayed the Atlantic City to California’s vegas. Grimier and less glittering version on the east coast. Instead they decided to be more like the Deep South. That’s their prerogative, but thank fuck I don’t live there, beyond the fascist bullshit, thank fuck I don’t live in a state that’s decided to torpedo itself. And for what, a man who likes to pretend he’s a fucking Ohioan we don’t even like to acknowledge that we’re Ohioans!

Yeah and Atlantic City ain’t in Florida. I’m too tired to remember the name of the device I was using, but it’s like those questions on the ACT of “X is to Y like Z is to…”

Somewhere in here there appears to be a compliment to Alabama beyond “at least we’re not Mississippi”, but I can’t tell what it is. Are they trying to step it up to “at least we’re not Florida”?
