minus-squareapftwb@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up12·1 month agoI think it just doesn’t flow with the rest of the poem. We currently have a president with an attitude and its not great. Also “that nasty hospital food” tonally just don’t feel like it fits IMO.
minus-squareEh-I@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up12arrow-down1·2 months agoI think it suggests that all black women have attitudes and all hospital food is nasty. And only one of those is true.
minus-squareLena@gregtech.eulinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·2 months agoDoesnt it more so suggest people with bad teeth have an attitude?
minus-squareEh-I@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up9·2 months agoWe can figure this out. We just need a white-board and markers, maybe some lab coats and stethoscopes!
minus-squareLena@gregtech.eulinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·2 months agoPins and red string are also essential
minus-squareprole@lemmy.blahaj.zonelinkfedilinkarrow-up6·edit-22 months agoI thought maybe (given the date) that they thought about the “attitude” the current president displayed, and realized they didn’t want that anymore. Edit: Nevermind, it was written in 1992 apparently https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_want_a_president
