I got a medical card here in LA and the prices are outrageous. Getting a dablicator with full spectrum oil seems to be the most cost effective. Trouble is I can’t seem to figure out how to use it.
At first I just ate it but I think I wasted $90 because I felt nothing and I don’t think it was decarbed.
Next I got some refillable 510 thread vapes and a small syringe to fill it. That has been a pain but it at least works a bit.
How am I supposed to use this stuff? Is it all the same or are there different kinds? Is it decarbed at all or not meant for vaping?
That looks like a product that’s meant to be vaped or smoked in a dab rig, so very likely not decarbed. It’s being advertised as “full spectrum concentrate” which is usually an indicator it’s meant for vaping or smoking, and the fancy applicator is just to make it easier to get it where you want it without extra dab tools and extra mess.
I can’t say with 100% certainty if that product is suitable for anything though since the details are extremely sparse. For future reference here’s a cheat sheet on what has to be decarbed before use and what doesn’t.
According to the manufacturer it’s edible, no heat so it’s decarbed.

Good find! I see that they are dispensing it directly into a vape as well in one of the images.
I still wonder if the stuff I got last time wasn’t decarbed because it didn’t hit me at all and I am not the heaviest of smokers.
I think I am gonna play with an atomizer anyhow so I can see if that changes anything.
Cool, good info for OP.
I treat all that promotional stuff as “best guess” for what’s really in the tube whether it’s a ccell cart or a dablicator. Dispensaries aren’t the most honest of places and their sources leave a lot to be desired so who knows what really ends up getting to the customer. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if there are variations of that product that aren’t decarbed and are just using it as a method of delivery.
yeah, I thought the dablicator was just a method of dispensing oil and not necessarily what was in it.
I really wish it was fully legal so I could find a better dispensary. This one won’t let me talk to anyone that knows what they are doing after my initial consult, I just order it online and pick it up. I miss the dispensary in Oregon that was staffed by wonderful stoners that learned me all I wanted to know.
I get what you are saying, without any controls, someone can buy the product and fill it with what they want. From their corporate page, they do seem to only do partnership type deals, so likely wouldn’t find non-carbed oil in them.
Hopefully they have controls in place to deal with non-compliance to their standards. So hard to know and tell with the market the way it is.
Ok neat. It is CO2 extracted according to the box.
What is a dab rig? Is it appreciably different from a 510 vape? I have heard of dab’s before but never understood them either
Traditionally a dab rig is like a bubbler or bong with a glass nail/bowl that you heat up with a torch and then apply to the concentrate. It would be like a 510 vape on steroids, similar to having a glass of wine versus a glass of whiskey.
I have heard dab’s hit like a truck. When the vape cartridge actually produces vapor it is strong but not that strong. Although I could have a higher tolerance than I give myself credit for.
This is accurate.
It’s a complicated answer. In the most basic terms a dab rig is just something that lets you vape or smoke concentrate quickly and easily. Some dry herb vapes get hot enough to put the concentrate directly into or on a pad of some kind to hold it while you vape it, and there’s also quartz bangers and stuff if combustion is your style, and stand alone devices strictly for concentrates. There are options for dabbing via a 510 vape but usually the concentrate is so thick that it’s a pain to do that way unless you’re thinning it out or buying preloaded vape cartridges made for a 510 battery.
In your case the easiest way might be squirting some of the concentrate into a joint or something but it’s hard to say without knowing what kind of hardware you have at your disposal. There are also some companies that sell addon pieces that fit a 510 battery that make dab hits easier. I’ll link one but don’t consider it a product endorsement as I don’t actually use them, it’s just to give you an idea of what you might find locally or online. There are several options available where I live for under $50, some under $30.
510 vape with concentrate chamber
If you already have a compatible battery you may only need the atomizer part, like this.
Atomizer
I have an Ooze Pen And refillable vape cart
I have been just squirting some of the oil in there and trying to vape it, with mixed success
I also have a Zeus dry herb vape which I love, but on the legal market herb is so expensive. $75 for 3.5 g :(
Sounds like I just need to buy a battery powered dab rig or an “atomizer” for my dinky little battery.
Edit: My (nicotine) vape shop said they had a 510 compatible atomizer in stock so ill go see what that is and see if it works better!
Any luck?
It is a nicer reusable vape cartridge for sure but not really different. If I turn the battery to max, pre heat it, and inhale slowly it works.
I also bought an explicit atomizer that should be here next week.
I think I just have no idea what I am doing, lol
Does the new one have coils in it to put the concentrate on?
Yep I think so, it was billed as a wax atomizer for a 510 battery. I figured that would work but who knows
It could be that your battery is lacking power or maybe the stuff you got doesn’t vape well and would be better suited for combustion.
I’m a firm believer in ball vapes for just about everything but that doesn’t help you.
