This is just phase one, the tunneling for phase is two and three are already complete. The next phase will go to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and then onwards to Century city, and the third phase will connect to Westwood where you can walk to UCLA and the VA Hospital. The D line extension Plus the supposed Subway which just got saved from monorail purgatory together are going to form a powerful Transit upgrade for Los Angeles
Woohoo!! So excited to see new extensions :)
This is such a simple way to connect people socially and to centers of work. You wonder why it takes a lot of North American cities a long time to add new lines.

What exactly is distinctly uplifting about this? This is just regular, regional news.
The US spending money on public transportation is such a rarity that it makes it uplifting.
I find any expansion of public transportation uplifting.
If the line changes altitude upward at some point, that’s uplifting.
Not to mention the escalators.
