Ok I don’t watch this anime, but this translation is really interesting lol. Do Japanese people also use the -ception suffix? Or did they have something similar before the movie Inception came out?
Can’t speak specifically for “-ception”, but English subbers sometimes use Westernisms for untranslateable Japanese idioms. An example that stood out for me is in Steins;Gate. The original 2ch inside joke “nullpo… gah!” joke was translated as “never gonna… give you up”.

This anime had probably the strongest first episode I’ve ever seen. If the whole series went this strong I’d l give it perfect 10/10 but I feel like that would be just impossible. Still it was really good. Kaguya’s VA did an excellent job bringing Kanan to life! The characters were cute and funny I could watch this whole day.
Also season 2 announced!
