A first-generation iPhone sells for almost 380 times its original price of $US499 ($735) when it first went on sale in 2007.
Part of me wonders if this isn’t laundering in some fashion… kinda like how ultra rich people buy and sell art for millions to avoid taxes, often without the artwork ever leaving the warehouse.
Yeah, I’m struggling to understand why an original iPhone would sell for that amount, it doesn’t make any sense. Apparently others have sold for ridiculous amounts as well. Apparently being factory sealed and bring a 4GB model matters. But come on, these things are only 16 years old and nothing special. What gives?
Uh I have an old 3GS if someone wants to toss me 10k for it
The Apple II computer and the Macintosh arguably did more to change the world than a smartphone. Most Apple users aren’t even aware of the history of their own favorite company though.
I should dig out my old first gen iPhone
Is it factory sealed?
Well, hope they don’t drop it.
