I’m looking for a recommendation on a full bluetooth headset, not earbuds. I would prefer if it had the boom style protruding microphone and that it would support an easily replaceable battery. I am sick of discarding bluetooth headsets due to battery problems as it’s not environmentally friendly. Does one exist in the sub-80 dollar range? Thanks in advance.
Bluetooth and headsets have a huge problem: Bluetooth profiles. You can either run A2DP and get good audio quality without microphone input or HFP for microphone input with terrible sound. Windows and Android are both bad a switching between the two, so if you are on a call, other audio will often get sent to the A2DP steam, so it won’t play because your headphones are on HFP for the call.
If you’re just looking for something to make calls, that’s probably fine. If you want something without those limitations, you’ll probably need to spend a bit more on something like a Plantronics RIG 800 or steelseries Arctis.
I have two Jabras, low and high end. I really have no complaints. I listen to music at work and switch over to calls on Teams seamlessly. Good battery capacity. “Hear Through” at the click of a button. The bass is too high but that can be easily adjusted in the companion app.
The Jabras are good. But I think they’re out of my price range sadly.
The closest ones I can think of are these modular ones, but they are out of your price range: https://aiaiai.audio/headphones
Sadly they are!
