If you Google “how common is glue in food,” you’ll find a ton of links talking about commercials using stuff other than food in food commercials/ads to make the food/drink look more “vivid/full/whatever.”
Don’t browse mastadon. I came to this conclusion myself after finding the reddit post in question. The answer from Google wouldn’t pass a plagiarism test, the wording was nearly identical.
