Yeah, this is where I’m at too. It’s just… obscene.
Same. Rich people hubris is just the kind of circus that makes popular news, it’s grotesque. But also I get it, because a ship full of refugees dying is a grim reminder that all of us are one natural disaster, war, or psychopathic politician away from the same situation, while the submersible story is a tragedy that will never happen to any of us.

Yeah you’d hope so. But because it wasn’t found until well after they ran out of air, it’s not really certain that the implosion happened after running out of air.
In terms of dying, hypoxia isn’t the worst thing either. I’d prefer that to many others.
I read something earlier today that said the US Navy reported hearing an implosion not long after contact was lost with the vessel so if that’s true then likely happened quick.
