Because the people in charge don’t want to fix schools, they want to eliminate public education all together. They think kids need more free time so they can get them into the factories making chochkey shit, cause that’s surely going to expand their future opportunities and won’t just create a generation if dumb dumbs primed to vote Republican.
When I heard and read that they wanted to flat out eliminate the Education department I knew Republicans have gone off the rails.
They are full on the fascist party and maga crazy. They need to be all voted out and for their rien to end.
Of course this is all happening because the Republican base is dying out and pretty soon be irrelevant. Why they want to end democracy and install a dictatorship under their control.
