Ok I understand. There is no way someone connect what you write here with your real identity. Only your instance even sees your ip. And your internet provider I guess.
You shouldnt. Post and be downvoted. As long as you are not intentionally trolling anyone, it shows strength of character to stand up for what you believe.
Its very different from work where you are not free to do what you want, because your entire paycheck is based on going along with the charade. You dont have to do that outside of work. :)
I was not cool. That was a crime that was punished severely.
You dont use your real name on Lemmy so I dont see why your history matters here. I could understand it on linkedin, which is why its a super cringe platform also, but here? I dont see a problem.
I like Lemmy because it can be genuine and real, unless posted on a instance that moderates away opinions the moderators dont agree with.
You can go back and find opinions in my history you wont agree with. But thats because i dont try to look a certain way, and I dont change my opinions to look good to others.
I think everyone should do the same. Be who you are. Reflect on feedback, maybe you are wrong, but if you dont think so, dont change yourself.
Stop using that shit, your life will be better for it.

Elon Musk having an erotic moment due to race tensions in the room.
Thats hilarious as usual when it comes to Trump. :)
And the tone… I expect… The president for a few months, who has been in jail and is full of lies, expects someone, which he doesnt know by the right name, to comply with arbitrary rules…
What a guy.
Still laughing my ass off… Imagine trying to Google for solutions to “windows app” :) :)
But we live in a world where Muskie renamed Twitter to X, so…some serious brain damage going on all over the place.
Im starting to feel smarter now, as an effect of these guys becoming dumber and dumber, so I guess thats a plus.
You should be happy its the first you hear about it. It wasnt popular when it came and it never became popular and still it took a decade to fucking die.
It got bundled with Firefox in June 2015 and now exactly 10 years later, its finally gone.
The suspects – aged 25 to 75 – come from a wide range of backgrounds. They include a priest, a grandfather, a music teacher, a paramedic and others described as “good family men”.
Every. Fucking. Time.
Something about becoming a priest in life must be about trying to fight inner thoughts you dont want to have. Maybe you want to believe that God can help remove thoughts. Its interesting. They are always on lists of pedophiles.
Signed up for subscription service, realized you are getting exploited…
Well… Yes.
For me its been almost 0%. :) Very happy with it.
Flatpak has annoyances like sometimes not following your icon theme, or just generally looking out of place because not picking up system defaults.
It works but I avoid it. On Arch Linux, there is a huge AUR repository where users have made native packages, and thats usually much better than Flatpak. But on Ubuntu, Flatpak is the only option sometimes.
I work in IT so appearently i can just type override to get into any computer system. Cool…
Why do people want to ask complete strangers instead of making their own decision?
That must mean that they value the opinion of total strangers more then their own. Isnt that a mindfuck.
“Now this—this is the greatest sandwich ever created. We’re talking historic. It’s got the best balloney—the best, not that fake deli junk—they say it’s 100% truth meat, just like me. The Russian dressing? It’s strong, it’s bold, it respects strength. Putin himself said, ‘Donald, this dressing is beautiful.’ And the pickle—tiny, yes, but it gets the job done. Tremendous flavor, very efficient. Some people are even saying it’s a perfect sandwich—maybe even the most masculine sandwich of all time. Crooked media won’t admit it, but they’re eating it too, behind closed doors. Everybody wants a bite of the Trump Sandwich. It wins. It just wins.”
Hitler got elected because people wanted change. And he was appearently very popular at first, with a very unique, strong and beautiful voice and nice blue eyes that the ladies went for. Tons of charisma.
Of course almost all mentions of Hitler shows him as a raving lunatic, because thats how we want people to think about him. But its dangerous, because it doesnt show how someone like that actually ended up in power and was popular and listened to by the entire country. How he did that is what we need to pay attention to. He probably had a simular mix of charisma, confidence and even charm that the orange man has.
You guys have to be careful to not let Trumpster get too far. They never teach at school how to go against leaders, because they want obedient workers. But you have to learn that and realize how some peoples brains are tricked into supporting someone like this.
You know, those oneliners may sound cool when you are a teenager, but they are signs of a mind who thinks in absolutes, because there is no wisdom yet.
It will come through life and getting older. :)
Its about having operating bases around the world, to make sure you can reach/strike/influence anywhere you need.
