Oh damn, I was not expecting that.

On the bright side, at least you went to one of the most trustworthy medical institutions there is.
My job is also an IT job with big responsibility. I wouldn’t have compared the 2 jobs otherwise. Not sure where you got filling grocery store shelves from.
My job didn’t even require a video interview, this unpaid role has more strict requirements than half the jobs in the US haha.
What
This is likely not the best place to get answers for this question.
Some communities don’t need a good discussion forum, they need voice chat with a little text chat. Originally, discord was for gaming groups and it worked amazingly for that. Now, more communities are on it than should be, but its still a good feature set for gaming groups.
The dislike bar was real, I’ll tell ya, I’ve lived nigh on eighty years and me own two eyes seent the dislike bar clear as day! Ye better believe, sonny, it’s the truth!
I’m not saying create an echo chamber, my advice excludes engaging with people who agree and disagree, at least when it comes to large scale politics. If someone wants to get involved in politics, I think they should avoid echo chambers and engage in good discussion. But for people who just want to or need to get away from it, disengaging entirely I think is the way to go. You can still get involved in local polics without engaging in larger politics. They often have direct impacts on your community and it varies wildly between different communities.
I recommend not watching or reading the news. Spend your free time learning about hobbies or finding new ones, getting involved in local politics instead of national/global politics, improving yourself, and finding friends in communities around your hobby.
If you want some PC gaming friends that don’t talk about politics all the time, DM me. We’re in our late 20’s through 40’s.

Yeah in that case I agree. Tons of people have their preferred YouTube frontend, or application, or way of using YouTube itself, and we can all get YouTube links to automatically redirect to our preferred method, but if someone links their preferred frontend directly, anyone who uses a different method all of a sudden can’t use it automatically.
Freetube is not a website, but a desktop application that massively improves the usability over YouTube’s UX. It doesn’t serve the same purpose as an ad blocker, which also works well for its purpose.
Yeah google maps is still the GOAT as much as I wish it wasn’t.
If you’re on desktop, check out freetube instead of the buggy mess that is piped links.
I haven’t touched the ai feature, I’m glad its separate and not forced into search, but I’m also glad people seem to be getting good use out of it. Best of both worlds.
Doxxed.
