His lies seemed more artful and effortless to me, and he stayed calm and lucid the entire time.

Legitimately planning how I’m going to weather a Trump presidency after the debate. Unimaginably disheartening.
HUERK-
Well I’m rooting for ya, someone had to try it I suppose
On another thread someone was posting about how women in France are swinging hard right because of similar messaging, like it went from 23% to 31% pretty quickly. So unfortunately that’s evidence that this might work here and an effective countermeasure should be prepared and tested.
Not disagreeing but I’ve never heard Former President Carter referred to as Mr.
Thanks! On my watch list now
I enjoyed it but admit it was imperfect. They should keep remaking it though, I’d happily watch yet another remake it in a decade or so.
Texas Instruments ROM Basic, then later PC-DOS (not MSDOS)
I miss hip hop
So, hey, can someone explain to me about Linux Mint, like since it is derivative of Ubuntu does that mean that the new system of having to pay for Ubuntu updates is inherited by Mint?
If getting a complete tan is wrong I dont want to be right
I used to use an electric toothbrush many years ago but heard it could cause receding gums so its storage. I like manual toothbrushes because you can buy the inexpensive ones and replace them frequently, electric heads are a little pricey to replace. Generally my tongue seems pretty clean but I’m going to get a cheapo tongue scraper and see if I notice any difference. Do you use one of the fancy copper ones or just the standard steel/plastic ones I’ve seen?
Is a tongue scraper really that much better than brushing your tongue?
I’d love to see this implemented, a lot of non-English communities I’d like to read if they would autotranslate.
I remember reading there was something like this back in the mid/late 00s too, maybe without the giftcards but you could sign up for email alerts when there was a forum thread that needed to be brigaded, long before even reddit was a thing.
Edit: read about it on Metafilter at the time but it seems to have been purged. If you’re interested maybe the post is findable on the Internet Archive
Biden’s going to sign that bill that equates criticizing Israel with antisemitism isn’t he?
Alex Jones’ well known statement that “they’re putting chemicals in the water that turn the fricking frogs gay” isn’t enough for them to support even the most basic environmental regulation.
A nice thought that there are inroads on the environment among the paranoid set of conservatives, maybe worth exploring. I recall studies showing some kinds of chemical effluent having gender based effects on fish at least, which might be the origin of Alex’s bizarre theory.
It doesn’t mention any historical examples from before 1990 due to cultural prejudice but I’d be shocked if the Greeks and Romans didn’t write on the subject, being such avid observers of the natural world. Sounds like a fun research project for a historian, I’m sure it’s out there.
Haven’t seen the documentary but would be great to have an annotated list of accounts of gay animals from throughout history to point people towards so they can’t say its chemicals in the water or microplastics turning animals gay in the current era.
Make all the throwaway jokes you want but a low information voter would probably perceive him the way I described and wouldn’t catch the lies. Trump may be older than in 2016/2020 but he appeared present and even reassuring to uninformed or on-the-fence previous Trump supporter eyes.
