Exactly this. If you want ai to exclusively be controlled by massive companies like Meta and Google, this is how you do it. They’ll be the only ones that can afford to pay for public copywritten content.

His hair looks like Reverend Putty’s
This sort of thing happens all the time, good intentions getting twisted over time.
Iirc the reason you’re not allowed to depict Muhammad, for example, was because Muhammad didn’t want pictures of to be used to worship him. He didn’t want to be deified basically.
Cut to today and his followers will literally kill anyone that even tries, even those outside of the religion, due to their worship of Muhammad, something that he clearly never would have wanted. It literally goes against the reason he had the rule in the first place.
Basically just focus on staying present and not letting yourself get carried away by your internal monologue. It’s infinitely harder than it sounds. You can close your eyes, focus on a specific spot in a room, focus on your breathing, anything to keep yourself present and focused. Keep your mind empty as best you can.
The best advice I ever got was, when you have an intrusive thought during meditation, to acknowledge it, and let it fade away. Don’t focus on it or criticize yourself for it, as that will usually only make it harder to refocus yourself.
Meditation is super helpful for a lot of reasons, but for me personally it helped a lot with negative thinking and mental traps (like catastrophizing and stuff). It helps you to be more aware of when you’re getting carried away by thoughts, and how to push them aside and be present.
Look into mindfulness if you’re interested, it’s helped me a lot.
Recognizing that it’s a moment of weakness is what’s important, don’t brush it off and pretend it’s perfectly fine. Recognize it as a slip up in a moment of stress.
Not anymore apparently
I think it’s more accurate to say it would’ve been a good deed. Rn it’s just good intentions.
Dude that’s a lasagna
I’m an older Gen Z, but same here. I really don’t know that much but can torrent, so people see me as some sort of tech god lol.
My younger sister on the other hand, also Gen z, is so tech illiterate that her downloads folder is a mess and thinks deleting installers will delete the installed program.
Don’t tease me
Idk I’d love Summer if it was cold like Winter
It’s the same thing. I used to have a Samsung with an always on display and loved it, so I was thrilled when iPhone finally got it after I switched over.
Same deal, OLED screen, you can use it for the clock, date, weather, whatever.
Actually it came from a pretty dark place lol. I’d made an attempt on my life a couple of months prior, and felt completely hopeless and lost, unable to find the strength to do pretty much anything.
So I made it ironically, and it ended up sticking.
No fucking kidding lmao
That’s what I was hoping too, and I’m sure for some it does, but I also saw an article the other day about people using these to blackmail children into giving real nudes, so fuck me I guess.
I still hope that for the majority of pedos this is solely something used to deter their urges. I’d like at least that much I mean ffs.
I mean literally yes, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t still horrible
Yeah damn, that’s true.
An obvious answer would be to talk to younger people about it, to explain how gross and violating it is. Even if it doesn’t become illegal, there are plenty of legal things that people avoid and recognize are bad because they were taught correctly.
Unfortunately, due to how puritan our society is, I can’t imagine many parents would be willing to talk to their kids about stuff like this.
Older gen z here too, born in ‘99, and while I haven’t noticed the analogue thing, I’ve 100% noticed tech illiteracy in general.
Like, I’m talking about having a downloads folder full of junk because they don’t know that that’s where downloads end up. Installers left untouched after programs are installed because they’re worried that deleting the installer will delete the installed program.
Imo being raised with closed ecosystems like iPhones really stunted tech literacy for a lot of people. I grew up jailbreaking my phones and used my parent’s windows pc, so I kind of escaped it.
