The end-times death cult doesn’t want any medical breakthroughs at all. But fuck em. Everywhere without these freaks should keep up the good research unabashed.
I’m just a random transfem on the internet. A cat assigned dog at birth. A girl just trying to make it in a cruel and unforgiving world.

Worse isn’t really the appropriate word. It’s more dated mechanically than Skyrim, but it also has some interesting game mechanics to that ended up cut from Skyrim, like spellcrafting. In terms of story, it’s got one of the most interesting DLCs the series has had to date, Shivering Isles, and a lot of other decent questlines in the base game and other DLC areas. Worst parts of the remaster are probably just poor optimization for UE5, so it can often run like crap on PC, and of course, all the existing design issues and bugs that Oblivion already had from its original iteration, because the original engine and game logic is still all there and what was principally changed was the UI, the graphics renderer, and some quality of life stuff here and there.
People? Read? Never.
Oh, I get it, the alternating pattern was messed up in the middle. I don’t blame you for wanting to fix it.
I think it wouldn’t really taste that interesting, because it’s only meant to be used as a standardized point of comparison for other manufacturers when they’re testing batches of their own products. I recall NileRed did a video making cookies out of a bunch of standard reference ingredients, and I don’t remember if he said at the end they were bland or awful, but he didn’t like them. The reference stuff simply isn’t meant for eating or for use in cooking.
As an American, this is good slang. I hate it here.
They’re going to turn around and say the anticompetitive and illegal behavior they’re watching for is “dei hiring,” and that these companies’ employees aren’t white or straight enough. Or else it’ll be when companies refuse to comply with “the spirit of” any of Trump’s next 5000 pre-written unhinged executive orders that wouldn’t apply to private business, like calling women or minorities humans or something.
I’m trans so it’s not just the kid photos for me, even ones from as recent as four years ago give me this feeling. While I’m not yet out or passing, so other people still see me as I was and not as I will be, when I look at old photos I have issues recognizing myself, I just see a stranger. Something about the tiny little changes in the face that HRT does I guess.
CDDA is a 2D top down roguelike survival game, set in an apocalypse where zombies, aliens, hellspawn and so many other horrible things have shown up everywhere and completely pushed back humanity to the brink of extinction. There are so many real world items like specific gun brands and models, foods with lots of recipes to make bigger and better meals with, recreational drugs tucked into drawers and the pockets of felled zombies.
You could play like a survivalist hobo out in the woods living off the land away from all the carnage and sipping pine needle tea all day while tending to your crops, or explore cities overrun with undead and using night to cover your tracks as you hop through open windows, climb up downspouts and leap from roof to roof. Or you could head down into secret labs to loot cybernetic implants and mutagenic compounds to become something more than human.
You could do quests for NPC factions and also build a team of NPC followers of your own so that you can (over a long period of time and a significant resource investment) build up the structures in your own custom settlement, sending your followers out on missions.
Or you can find enough materials, tools, vehicle parts and mechanics skill books, to become a master mechanic and build up your own custom armored super car, once you tire of walking or bicycling everywhere or driving a bog standard sedan you fixed up off the road.
The controls are very complicated, and if you’re the type to get mad when the devs change or nerf something you were used to, you’ll be pissed a lot. Some of the things I said may not even be accurate any more, I know custom vehicle construction got way harder after the last time I played, among other things, but otherwise it’s one of the most intricate and complex games out there, in a usually fun way, with very good mod support.
They can’t eat all types of peanut butter. If a brand of peanut butter that contains xylitol is fed to a dog, it will make them sick and potentially kill them. Xylitol is used as an artificial sweetener, and is very toxic to dogs. Don’t ever feed your pets human food without checking what’s in the ingredients label.
And then when they do update the game, and add 20 more dollars of new dlc at the same time, if you’re someone who likes mods, well congratulations. Your installation is ruined and you can’t go back to your saved game(s) without there being some level of headache involved. At this point a high seas version of stellaris would probably be a relief, since there’s no auto updates and all dlcs. But here I am, a sucker who bought like three-quarters of the dlc over the years and can’t even play it because I’ll just be sad my last playthrough got ended prematurely with a dlc release… Fuck Paradox and all their games.
A way of thinking that, when granted power, criminalizes every other way of thinking and discards freedom 100% of the time… That countries don’t actively do something to prevent its prevalence works like a crack in the foundation of the freedoms they enforce. I’d not suggest legalized contextual murder like this op is asking about, but a clear outlawing of an ideology that brings nooses and book burnings with it, definitely.
Yep, that’s me. When I still actively used reddit, I felt this with every message, was always afraid I was off the mark, or didn’t read the room, or said something wrong or ignorant.
I just turned off notifications and ignored my karma count to just post through it. Though, I usually said things that either never got any votes, or that people seemed to generally agree with. And I was relieved whenever I did notice the numbers going up instead of down, and occasionally worked up the courage to check responses and continue conversations, but usually nothing.
This has really not changed since moving to Lemmy, and really just persists through every website. It sucks, I mostly just don’t comment.
I’m not. I’d rather the cruel and awful people get routed so the rest of us can go on and start picking up the pieces. Why do all the rest of us deserve going down with the very worst of us?
I feel the same way, my block list is massive. The app I use to browse, the lemmy version of Boost, also has a word filter option too, which isn’t on the desktop browser interface (I don’t think), so I can block names of certain people and current event incidents I’m not interested in seeing any more, without needing to block communities or users. It only works when the post actually has the words in the title, so ironic memes slip through all the time, but its better than nothing.
I use emoji constantly on other platforms, specifically discord and steam. Like, I basically replace all my sentence-ending punctuation with doofy faces. But I don’t like using default unicode emoji, they suck. And I also generally don’t feel comfortable using emoji around strangers anyway.
If anyone in politics besides her or another Republican did this, their entire party would be up in arms screaming the word impeachment and making demands. It’s small potatoes in the context of people being people, but these are congresspeople and they all collectively decide the legal rights we have. And her party is actively stripping the rights of women and marginalized groups. Why shouldn’t they be scrutinized?
There are people out there that I am convinced will take their mental gymnastics with them to the grave. Maybe they’d start to think they might have been a teensy tiny bit off, but only after they’ve already drowned in a massive flood, or collapsed to heat stroke under a broiling sun in a formerly very temperate region.
Just the same, there’s probably plenty of unvaccinated people who died to covid some time during the peak years of the pandemic, who, were it possible, would have wanted to argue with the mortician that their autopsy was wrong and they had obviously died to something else.
Edit: Wait, morticians are the funeral people. I meant whoever does the autopsy.
This happened to me before. They unbanned and rebanned me like twice, the IT guy emailing back was very sure I was using “scripts” of some kind that were harming the website, somehow. Ultimately I just stopped visiting KYM.
