Also the supposed AI regulator which is also an AI company said its AI got out and hacked someone and all they had to do was tell it to do that and open all the doors!.

This sounds less like a new exploit or anything to do with AI and just a rewording of the age old problem of companies storing the fucking passwords in plain text and hoping no one notices.

Its kind of exemplary of the post when ‘Can we not support literal genocide’ is some kind of excessively puritanical ask though.
It took several aspects from the short stories in ‘the complete robot’ and kind of mashed them together in a way that didn’t really match the tone of any of them.
People were just really dumb about boiler explosions for a long time. Missisipi river boats for example had a period where maintenance was almost non-existant and they were almost always overloaded with passengers/cargo but the inevitable boiler explosions were considered to be acts of god. Huge disconnect between the people making the boilers and the people using them.

Yeh, admittedly I have a lot more experience with blender than 3DS Max, but from performance differences alone I’m pretty sure if Max released today without its massive pre-existing industry adoption it would be laughed out of the room.

Blender is an alternative to 3DS Max in the same way an actual car is an alternative to flintstoning a burnt out wreck. Even in college a lot of our very basic rendering exercises with Max got the whole grade just on demonstrating correct setup because the software is so prone to crashing or taking 20h to do what most alternatives (paid or free) can do in 20 minutes.

But it’s also incredibly fucked up that you have to censor yourself in basically all public forums (including just being outside in many places) just incase a person or bot accidentally or maliciously interprets what you said as arrest worthy. Controlling speech is the first step to controlling thought.

If the goal is no one more educated than Trump I presume they’ll have to start going after pigs, crows and dolphins at some point.

It really feels like the options are:

Aren’t microsoft products half vibe coded at this point anyway? Look at all these fires I put out, says fireman with trunk full of flares and gasoline.

This is why I occasionally send close friends obviously stupid messages with a ton of keywords, to throw some more noise into the surveillance aperatus.

We left the door open and told our dog to go outside and it did! Look at what an amazing escape artist our dog is!

Damn that’s around 1% of the entire global GDP…

Eh its still a win, a large scale test cast for a still fairly unproven technology is bound to provide some useful information.

Also the magic fruit seems kinda like actual sapience by todays standards? Pretty great thing to have.

And the already predicted heavy damage to the ozone layer from aluminium oxide from re-entering sattelites would be increased a thousand fold so somewhere on that list is learning to live without oxygen or sunlight.

iirc you can’t expect not to be caught in random photos or videos but you do have a right for someone not to film you specifically, someone wearing these glasses is doing that in every interaction.

The greek gods are basically how a regular person would react if given godlike power too, yeh you might try and make thigns better at first but eventually unlimited power would mean unlimited boredom and you’d end up using magic to troll people which is basically the greek gods main passtime when they’re not focussing on one specific person.
What gets me is less fast food and more the middle ground food, frozen stuff you throw in the oven that’s not quite processed to hell and back but definetaly not as healthy as cooking completely from fresh. It’s been getting smaller over the years but the increasing replacement of every ingrediant under the sun with slightly different variations of palm oil means that despite the decrease in size the calorie count has either remained the same or actually gone up. More expensive, less filling yet somehow more fattening.
