I don’t know if it says more about me, or more about trump that I almost thought this was a real quote.

But the guy that slept through his own criminal trial will definitely not need a nap before/during the debate.
/s just in case
Even the non political .ml communities are full of power-tripping, ban-happy, thread-nuking tyrants in my experience.
I’ve been censored/shadowbanned in a couple .ml instances for calling out their overzealous comment-nuking mods. Not even political in nature, just seeing threads where 80-90% of the comments are ‘removed by moderator’ and commenting how suspicious it was.
Then they removed that comment, and after taking a screenshot of the new comment calling out that, I got shadowbanned and can’t even vote there anymore.
Edit: TIL everyone on lemmy are fucking English majors.
Nah, everyone’s shitting on you cause you’re just the only one that doesn’t know how to take ten seconds for a Google search.
If only there was some kind of book, created decades ago, with a list of words, in alphabetical order, and what each word means in different contexts.
If only such a book was added to a worldwide database that anyone can access from any kind of computer, so that anyone can use it at any time.

TIL people don’t regularly try for this. I always try to stop it at the dollar cause neurotic that way.
Also, what a necromancer keeps their soul in so they can come back from death.
Kinda like Voldemort.
Join unions, create unions
What if we’re in one of the sad states that has ‘right to work’ laws?
For those unaware, ‘right to work’ laws at exactly the opposite of how they sound. They outlaw (or at least restrict) union presence in their state, you know, so employers don’t have to deal with unions and can therefore do what they want with their labor force.
Can we actually just ban articles that use ‘slam’ in the title? Unless it’s two physical objects colliding? You know, actually slamming into each other?
I’m so fucking sick of this piece of garbage hyperbole.
In theory, the way the US was set up as a nation, the Judicial branch of the government and the Legislative branch are supposed to stop things like that from happening.
In practice, bribes talk better than speeches or facts.
“If” he’s guilty? Haaahahaha
I can’t express the embarrassment I feel from how long it took me to understand this.
“I just can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t want to work!” --my grandma, who’s been supported by my grandpa’s money for as long as I can remember.
Yeah, the people who were brainwashed into thinking that ‘working just to work is great,’ are undeniably unconcerned with the rest of us, and far too many people think that way.
While it’s true that I would want to do something productive with my downtime, and not be wasting it on video games or whatever, I definitely don’t want to do it for some CEO or other higher power who cares as much about me, as I do about the ants in my yard.
Yeah, antiwork was a low effort pace to cry about having to work for a living. Workreform was where all the genuine discussion about stagnating and/or shitty workplace practices.
See? That right there. Pick a lane dude, are you coming or going? I’m starting to think you’re just not good at anything.
I recognize your username from other threads, and based on your answers there as well, you’re either really bad at trolling, or really bad at sarcasm, and not one of your posts is very convincing at pointing to either answer.
Man, I decided to do just that, and it was almost exactly what I thought (minus the technical words): if a velociraptor can do a metric fuckle of damage with their two hook-toes, a T-Rex with 2 of those on each hand can fuck something up, presuming it’s close enough (which, as the T-Rex head/bite-force, and distance from the jaw suggests), would have been pretty frequently.
Even if each claw only did a little damage, that’s still a lot of blood loss throughout the conflict, and the T-Rex would be more likely to win.
