Why not call it a magic trick. I mean, technically it underlays science. So it’s transcendent to our scientific way of making sense of stuff. Which is a pretty good definition for magic.

Did I say that it is mind-blowing?
That 3 problems in a row for you. 2 of them misrepresentation of the words.
Maybe the problem is on your end. Try thinking about it a bit and then get back to me.
You could say that people with this personality trait are inclined to become artists, scientists and engineers.
And you could call this personality trait a magic trick.
I’m describing a way of using attention. To put it entirely in one place and to completely remove it from everything else.
And then the place where you put your attention blossoms and everything else rots.
Try reading the post again then.
But that isn’t what I said
I can manage color and direction being illusory, but distance, that’s jarring.
That sounds pretty good.
It’s so easy to mistake dreams for reality tho. That’s key.
Intentionally getting sucked in is the number 1 recreation on earth.
Unintentionally, well, it’s so smooth, practically first nature. Ubiquitous and all-dominating. It bears discussion.
It’s all about getting sucked into dreams. Once you’re sucked into a dream, win or lose, you’re still in the dream.
This is where Vipassana comes in.
An emotional population is a controllable population.
I may use that. Thanks.
Don’t cut yourself on that razor wit.
Ah, we have a defensive enthusiast.
Agreed. It’s the rhetorical equivalent of canned spaghetti.
Yes, you’ve got the idea
And is right out
Not “so?”. “So”.
For example.
So…the pizza is on fire
Yes, that is an option
Well the breaking here is the corruption. The 2 different flavors of that. Still ostensibly dictatorship or democracy but not.
I am sperg, which is arguably an uncommon shape of attention. And I meditate. Which is all about doing certain stuff with attention (and studying it, unavoidably philosophizing about it, etc)
Which is an uncommon perspective, maybe. But surely other people study it too. (So many of us are enmeshed in it after all, and depend on their facility in the for their profession. )
And yes, it’s a big deal. A very big deal. One of those proverbial elephants in the room.
