I was about to say that I dont have one because I love all the music I listen to and im not ashamed of any of it. Then I remembered 2018 where I listened to KDA PopStars so many times on repeat that it still sits at the top of my music mogging the music I actually like.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How should a news article website financially sustain itself?
3·4 days agoA percentage is funded by a local media budget as long as they maintain fair and accurate news coverage designed to inform the public. The rest can be subscriptions and ad partnerships. Like they can write an promotional piece and mark it as so and be paid for that.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How should a news article website financially sustain itself?
12·4 days agoIve heard all kinds of cope before but “I would pay them but they dont accept my payments” is wild. Hundreds of millions of people around the world figured out how to pay for their news but somehow you are unable to no matter what you try. My 80 year old grandma can subscribe but somehow you are completely unable to. You’ve gotta agree that sounds pretty suspect.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When countries around the world start enforcing biometrics and digital passports for travel, would you still do traveling or just hide in some farm off grid?
1·4 days agoNo im not missing the point you just arent understanding the process before digital and after.
The border guard doesnt just check you passport and move you along. They document your arrival and store it. They usually photocopy your passport and take a finger print. You have to register and provide a ton of info when traveling to another country it was never a private matter.

World News@lemmy.world•Trump agrees to two-week ceasefire with Iran, subject to Strait of Hormuz openingEnglish
2·6 days agoIm only bringing it up because being from America you should be able to empathize with being told that your family or friends should go home. Because for almost every American their is no “home” to go to. They’re only citizens of America.
Love them or hate them Isrealis live there and most do not have somewhere else to up and leave to.

11·6 days agoWW2 ended with Hitler killing himself and Germany doing an unconditional surrender. Thats a lot different than two sides who are still capable of fighting deescalating from conflict to peace.

1·7 days agoHave you ever traveled internationally? They know who you are. You are not anonymously entering another country through an international airport. Whether its going through an automated check in process or going through a manual one they know who you are and they have a record of what you look like, fingerprint, name, passport number credit card and probably other stuff im forgetting.
What are you actually preserving by avoiding having your face scanned? This is such a weird privacy take.

Its not needed. The elections will swing back and people and the politicans are hungry for reform. Things are bad in the US but day to day is still the same for the average person. Conditions would need to get much much worse for people to consider that.
