I’m still messed up from what a certain someone did to me in high school, and it’s taken her slowly treating the rest of our mutuals the same one by one for each of them to reach the same conclusion that I had back then. Except some of them deciding that they still want her in their life for whatever reason. People seem to have this weird idea that they can manage her or deal with her to prevent her from hurting them.

It’s only a matter of time until something really big fails online isn’t it?

Voting has never been all that easy to begin with even before this. People do get harassed at polling stations, assuming they can even get there sometimes. Fun fact, but where I live they closed a polling station down early and proceeded to move it to a location over an hour away.

Animals need to be treated equally. If you wouldn’t eat your dog or your cat then why would you eat a cow or a chicken? They’re just as intelligent. Just as capable of feeling, of loving.

We all knew this was going to happen. I’m probably not going to vote this time. They’re in power and they’re not giving that power up. It’s over.

Edit: I’m so sure that many of the people downvoting have done what they can to prevent this. Some of us cried when he was elected knowing what was to come. Many of us have been fighting this for the last 10 years. If you wanted to fight then you should have been doing something earlier.

Not excusing the behavior because it’s not right, but I think it could be a major problem stemming from this platform and how it’s organized. This place seems to be too small for that to be effective. The majority of the people on this site might not want to see something, but if a small group does then their activity is enough to push it to the front page anyway.

I’ve been reading through their content and I can sort of see why people don’t like them.

I know there’s a lot of misogyny on the platform, it’s everywhere and escaping it is impossible, but I don’t necessarily think it’s the case for them? They just mostly seem disingenuous and posting for attention. People naturally tend to not like that.

I wish I was that brave and stubborn as a child. Threatening to kick me outside or take me to the bad parts of town was one of my parents favorite fear tactics. And it worked.

I would handle it this way. I was really selfish and could do things suddenly when I was younger. There are definitely certain things I’d want to get in order before doing it.
