Yup, those that say that we are the best country in the world typically have not left the US for more than a week at a time. It also fuels their xenophobia and the thought that resourceful immigrants that are taking the initiative to seek out a better life are somehow less than human.

I don’t even value me, no corporation gives a crap. They want you and your recurrent income.

Fibonacci strikes again!

Exercise is what helped me. I tried kayaking, found it to be nice but a lot of overhead. So cycling became a passion. Cover a lot of ground, see nature, get a lot of perspective, release endorphins in a healthy way. I did both road cycling and mountain biking.

It basically saved me from some dark times. I have a young child now, so on a hiatus, but will be back to it once she is old enough to go on rides.

Imagine reading this in the 80s - we would have thought that Back to the Future was prophetic.
