I don’t knowvwhat mtls is, but Joplin has mostvof what you want. It does not have card layout native, but there might be a plugin for that.

For me, a C# developer by trade, this is easily solved with a one command C# call. It’s possible you already have dotnet 6 or 8 on your distro as there are many C# Linux apps now.

Easily solved: use F-Droid
Your tablets are premium line. Mine is an A series - budget model - so it was getting old when it was first released. I have an S8 now, and that will last longer.
Freeing up ram helps in a few ways. First, you can fit more apps in memory, so less unloading. Second, more room for zram swap, reducing reliance on much slower static ram for swap, and prolonging the life of the sd chip, too. Finally, it means that massive spyware is no longer siphoning cpu time from user apps. It’s a win, win win!
LineageOS GSI on my Samsung Tab 2019 Has made it still usable to this day, then there’s the one with microg on my Pixel 2XL. Getting rid of play services axed about 800M of RAM usage for me. The Pixel is on Android 14 and the Tab will be the next time I update.
We are out there, we own our devices, and get value out of them well beyond their predefined expiration dates.
That particular one is done as of October 2022. However, it looks like you are doing more intensive work on your phone than I am on mine. Perhaps I just lack imagination, but I never could figure out what I could do with tasker to improve my usage, and I understand what it can do. It’s just my life apparently doesn’t demand such solutions.
I personally never experienced the issues described in Firefox. Perhaps I was just lucky. I will say that Chromite is definitely snappier than Firefox. If you haven’t tried it yet, take a look. It is chock full of privacy protecting features, too.
I’ve had over 100 tabs open on my Firefox on Pixel 6 for months now. What are you doing that you can’t keep tabs open on Firefox?
Stateside here, and I agree that price is insane. Also, I like to root my phones , and Samsung makes that hard. that said, I am writing this on my tab s8 with a stylus. people forget that Saving for real needs takes priority! retirement is not free, after all.
Any android device that was released since Android 10 can take a GSI image. I know a galaxy tab 8 can run the GSI from Andy Yan based on testimonials. I will eventually install it on mine. I have it on my galaxy tab 10.1 2019 and I added MicroG. I’ve been running that for over 2 years.
Install something like LineageOS and use Librera or another reader from F-Droid. You will have a much better experience. If you really want to ditch Android , maybe you can get Ubuntu Touch, but device compatibility is dicey.
Having just experienced this feature for the first time on my new Tab S8, I feel this is Huge. Now, if we can get this on a foss keyboard, it will be awesome!
I sidestepped all this crap by buying Synology in 2014 and upgrading 2 years ago. Sure, it isn’t FOSS, but it is very nearly plug and play.
I configured OpenVPN for when I want to use it remotely, and self host my music, video, and family photos.
Having the 4 drive RAID-6 gives me some security from the danger of losing data between backups.
I store all my scanned documents, ocr’d, and keep the paper under control.
So, unethical, illegal, in order to intimidate an applicant. Would you work for that person even if you did get it?
This company is an international financial institution based in NYC. The mid point of the range was about 10% below where salary surveys said a person at my point in my career should be paid where I live for the job description.
Don’t try to find “good” reasons for this crap. The range went from entry level pay for a non-senior developer to way higher than anyone should expect to get. They maliciously complied with the law, like the employers in this article are doing.
I since got a job for a similar base pay plus bonus (thank God) from a much smaller but fast growing company.
For instance, if the range published in the job description is $70,000 to $100,000 (£56,4000 to £80,550), a new hire may start the job at $85,000 (£68,500), but make up to $100,000 as they earn raises and bonuses throughout their tenure in the role. In short, the company never intended to hire a new worker at $100,000 – that’s simply where it caps pay for that position.
In other words, they are lying. No reasonable person would expect a job post to show anything other than the hiring range for the job. Otherwise, there is no point to having it. It says nothing. It also says no matter how much money you earn the business, your income is capped. F*** THAT!
Treating applicants like they’re marks drives away the quality candidates.
In one interview, I got to the stage of talking with an AVP, and he asked my salary expectation (rather than stating the amount he wanted to pay). I gave him mid-point on the range, which given my decades of experience, was very reasonable. He was clearly shocked.
If you won’t pay for the expertise, don’t waste my time. Also, he demanded the date of my degree, which is against the law, so he (older than me) was ageist, too.
I set up the mount points in configuration as dynamic NFS volumes and added Bookmarks to nautilus. You can get to the volume either with cd command or right-click -> terminal here. You can shut down the NAS and only lose the share, which returns when the system goes online.
This is much better than WbDAV, which is fine for simple sharing or for devices that can’t handle NFS easily like Android phones.
We are 90% there already. In many states, solar panels and usage have extra taxes. Most solar installations are grid tied and electricity sale prices to the company are fixed at a small fraction of their sale prices from those companies. Worse, if power goes out, you can’t use solar to stay electrified because electricity would leak out and potentially electrocute nearby line men.
I periodically scan through my app list and delete the ones for which I don’t have a definitive need. Virtual decluttering.
You could bookmark this list of open source alternatives you can review when you have need of something.
I see they’re looking to kill F-Droid.
