Lets you find Twitch streams with no viewers, with support for category filtering, it’s a pretty interesting site.
Quit smoking a few years back, that was an absolute bitch to do.
Still get the feeling every now and then, only ‘relapsed’ once at a funeral.
“It’s time for this war to end”
My dude, this was never a war, legitimising genocide in this way doesn’t help.
Appreciate you taking the time, I’ve got some research to do!
Hey what are all of the logos there? I know almost all of them but I’m unsure on a few.
Wild that the answer to young people being exposed to literal genocide and having an opinion about it, isn’t to try and do something about the genocide, but to call it indoctrination and try to ban it.
Make it make sense.
Yeah this is exactly what it is.
The commenter above likely read something they disagree with on substack and has chosen to hate the entire platform because of it.
The electorate is for sure heading left, if you look into it though, our parties are not. The Labour Party (Clear favourites to win next time) have been gradually sliding right over the last 5 years, adopting more centrist and centre-right policies in an attempt to win over right-wing voters.
Many on the left in the UK are incredibly unhappy, with good reason. The leader of Labour described his current strategy as a “under-new-management, eliminate-the-left” approach.
That’s not to say that things wouldn’t be better, of course, just not ideal for many left-wing voters out there looking for progressive change.
Gotta say, wish we had this problem over here in the UK.
If it helps, you can just use something else like Lemmy and still access all kbin content, that’s what I’m currently doing.
This is interesting as I have had much the opposite effect. I very rarely see anything Linux related. Though honestly I don’t use Linux so that works just fine for me.
That hacker news bit got me, I won’t lie.
Be the change! On a real note though, I feel your pain.
Boost for Lemmy
I only run a small community surrounding my home country, but I only plan on removing things that aren’t directly related to the country or at least adjacent to. As well as anything that is largely irrelevant which I suspect of being spam.
Rest is fine, discussion is healthy. I don’t need to agree with everyone, that isn’t what this is about.
Exactly this ^
The insane vitriol of some people on here, wishing death to this man, rejoicing in very obvious cognitive decline, it’s harrowing.
The policy this man has supported and even pioneered is horrific, and frankly he should never have been allowed to push that shit nor would I ever support it, but you can bet your fucking ass I’m not going to be sat here laughing about an old man in clear mental distress or wishing death on him, because I’m not a piece of shit and I actually have some form of morality.
I’m gonna go with no, since I’m reading it perfectly currently.
I do kinda love this name.
I imagine we all have different use cases, my idea of Lemmy succeeding may not be your idea.
That being said, as a replacement for Reddit, where I can scroll through the top say 50 posts once or twice a day, it absolutely fits the bill.
Engagement is much better for me here, I imagine due to the smaller size of the community, that lends itself to their being much less useless garbage comments and much more constructive or informative discussion.
The above being said, I do wish there were more people here.
