You really want Matter over Thread* when you can. Thread is the low power 2.4Ghz protocol, and is my bet for future tech. Matter makes it compatible with any ecosystem. (Functionality may be limited compared to the vendor app.)

The real problem is Republican spend 4-8 years screwing everything up. Over the next 4 years, with the slimmest of margins, Democrats roll back 80% of it. Then you come in and say “both sides”.

He’ll be out after his four years. The important parts for him were grifting and escaping consequences. He’ll have accomplished that, even after he leaves office.

In the end, democratic government requires some amount of good faith. You can harden it a little, but there’s only so much you can do.

The problem is that we have elected someone with so little regard for laws and people.

Losses are social; gains are private. It’s all about reverting labor practices towards 1890 until we get labor riots again. This time maybe they can murder union people and laborers with tech and robots, and don’t need to be as scared of the masses as they used to be.

I expect part of it is that enough Republican senators have gone home for the season.

She was miles better than Manchin or McConnell. She wasn’t our best, but she sure as hell wasn’t a Republican. She got vilified primarily because she was a prominent Democrat for years. And it stuck because there was more than zero legitimacy.

They vilified her so much that some douchebag went after her and her husband with a hammer. There’s a reason they didn’t go after Manchin or Sinema or Menendez or McConnell or Gaetz.

One of the few things we know about Vance is that he doesn’t believe what he says.
