UnderpantsWeevil made a good point, you don’t have to take that as them wanting to debate you. You don’t even need to block them. Just stop responding, it’s not complicated.
Then you don’t have to spend the effort being negative and we end up with communities that become a positive corner of the internet.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What video essay did you watch recently that left an impression on you?
4·20 days agoHe just released a follow up to his first where he showed the cameras are accessible online with no password protection. 30 days of recording plus the live feed…
Case in point: this discussion.
If you missed my point so completely to think we are saying the same thing there isn’t much left to say.
If you go out to a protest and aren’t networking then you’re doing it wrong.
That’s the problem though isn’t it? It’s very easy to lose people by appealing to their confirmation biases and playing up fear responses. The same methodology doesn’t work to pull them out of it because you’re going up stream, and there are literal decades of propaganda that need to be addressed when you’re talking about alternatives.
If you’re this impassioned about making a difference you efforts would be much better spent getting out and joining a organization that focuses on building community networks. You’re just screaming into the void on Facebook.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What video essay did you watch recently that left an impression on you?
12·21 days agoThis one actually just dropped today so obviously it’s on the forefront of my mind, The Thousand Faces of Cassian Andor by AtTorr. Goes in depth on how Tony Gilroy basically dared Disney to blink and they somehow didn’t. AtTorr goes through the entire first season linking our historical revolutions that inspired Gilroy to the shows fictional one.
Even if you aren’t a Star Wars fan and have no interest in watching the show, it is a powerful piece of media and this essay highlights exactly why it’s message is timeless. It does not however answer the question on everyone’s mind, “How did Disney allow this to get made?!”

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Furious Protestor Tears AI-Generated Art Off Wall of Exhibit, Chews It Up Into Tiny Shreds Using His TeethEnglish
511·24 days agoDwyer has since defended his work, telling The Sun Star that he had been using AI for his art since 2017. He said his exhibit “explores identity, character narrative creation and crafting false memories of relationships in an interactive role digitally crafted before, during and after a state of AI psychosis.”
The term “AI psychosis” has been used by health professionals to describe a troubling phenomenon in which users of AI tools are experiencing symptoms of psychosis or delusional episodes. Experts have raised concerns over the trend, warning that more and more people could be caught up in these delusions as they become hooked on AI chatbots like OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
In extreme cases, these tools have been alleged to have led to numerous deaths, including the suicide of a 16-year-old.
Dwyer told The Sun Star that he had fallen into AI psychosis himself, turning to art to portray the experience.
Maybe take the hint and stop using AI buddy.
