TIL Lemmy hates dogs?
My office allowed dogs, and the dog was always super chill and never made a sound. Honestly it sounds dumb, but it’s good when I see a dog. It makes me happy.
Obviously a poorly behaved dog would suck. I feel like it’s implied that bringing a dog into work means that the dog has to be well behaved.
I have a Pixel 5a and have the same issues in maps. It loves to replace the dot on the map (which seems accurate) with the giant “low accuracy” text, which just gets in the way. When I “calibrate” it has me take pictures of the area around me.
I don’t want to be a conspiracy nut but it feels purposeful so that they can just get more photo data. I wish I could just turn the “calibration” off and just let me be in “low accuracy” mode.
Visual Basic is still alive in MANY company codebases across the world. It’s not a great language for developers, but it’s a perfectly acceptable first language and still used professionally.
