Brendon Urie did it 4 years ago when he outright told Trump to fuck off and stop playing High Hopes at his rallies.

The law suit isn’t what matters. He’s got a massive collection of those already and it won’t matter until it all eventually catches up to him assuming he fails to get elected.
What matters is that if he pissed Taylor off enough she might actually endorse Harris openly. We know she leans blue but she’s refrained from open endorsements. Her fans are absolutely crazy and she could probably sway a bunch of Republicans easily. This is great.
Yeah I figured that was the case but I haven’t checked up on the EC in a while. We should probably win the popular vote easily but unfortunately our elections aren’t determined by that.
Ignore the polling and just vote. We haven’t won until we’ve won.
The odds look fantastic but there’s always the chance a lot of people simply shrug it off and consider the election already over due to the odds looking to be so overwhelmingly in her favor. Don’t be like that. Go out and vote unless you want dementia donnie to slip back in.
Make sure to beg dispatchers not to send the cops apparently.
There are merits for it and against it. My biggest concerns would be privacy regarding data scrapers .
Regarding poor behavior, I really think that ultimately comes down to moderation on the platform. I’ve only had a few poor experiences but I am also someone who sometimes sees certain threads as dumpster fires and refrains from joining in or refrains from responding when I feel there isn’t any form of discussion or chatter to be had. I can understand that it likely happens more often than not but I also believe that moderation is the only reasonable way of curbing it. Moderation teams have to make it clear that the behavior is not welcome and that it will be dealt with.
Yeah Walz is the kind of person I really want up there. It’s not just that he’s liberal(as far as our country’s standards go) but also the fact that he has a great track record on delivery.
I’d still vote anyways to keep DT out but you know how it is. It’s hard to be excited given how it feels that the Dems have a habit of wiggling their way out of delivering on important issues.
While you’re probably right, there really isn’t a better choice here. It is what it is.
Yeah I feel the same. There’s just a lot of ways this could turn out.
The polls could be inaccurate or we could have issues with turnout. It’s great to see the Dems being as popular as they are on socials right now but it makes me anxious that this could just be a trend that doesn’t lead into voter participation.

What do you want them to do besides increasing security?
No one wants to vindicate the guy by preemptively taking action against him for the uprisings that haven’t yet occurred even if we’re absolutely certain that they will in fact happen.
Biden is retiring after this term. Even though he has the power and can offer valid reason for enacting an official act against Trump I don’t think he wants to be responsible for sparking any sort of conflict or be known for it after he retires. The man has done a lot already, this isn’t a burden that falls squarely on his shoulders. It’s our burden as a country.

We need an entire legal reform but right now we really need to focus on the SC since that’s where the most damning issues lie with the nation as a whole.
I’m shocked at how incompetent a public speaker he is.
Such is the way of authoritarian regimes.
Being a part of the GOP when Trump took over really came down to just agreeing with the man blindly and letting him treat you how he pleased. Trump can’t stand to share the spotlight with anyone else meaning people in the GOP most likely aren’t getting any experience as most of them share their big moments with the orange man who takes over immediately.
Most of these people have no personality outside of supporting Trump and they aren’t capable of much either because they would make Trump nervous.
Biden already made an admission that he knows these issues are going to occur.
Acknowledgement and action are different though. I assume that we’re going to fuck around and find out because no one wants to get confrontational with the Republicans over it.
Can people give it a rest already? I don’t know why Lemmy users feel this need to get upset at people for doing what they want/need them to do.
Yeah, perhaps people should show more interest in being informed in current politics but at this point just take the W. The last thing we need right now is for blue voters to start pushing other people away from voting blue due to their attitudes.
For those of you who already understood the stakes surely you also understand that now is not the time to be dividing Kamala’s supporters over petty feelings like this.
I mean it’s the heart of the issue.
OpenAI isn’t even the big issue regarding this. It’s other companies that are developing and training specialized LLMs on their own employees. These companies have the capital to take the loss on the project because in their eyes it’ll eventually turn into a gain as long as they get it right eventually.
GPT and OpenAI is just a minor distraction in regards to what is being cooked up behind the scenes, but I still wouldn’t give them a free pass for that either.
