In my 40s and parents are full support of Trump and Cruz (live in Texas). They were always on the conservative side, but since moving there they really went full into being “Texans” and yee-haw America!

I didn’t talk to them for over a year for something else, but totally in line with the politics/evangelical feelings. My grandma died and I went to the funeral where I finally spoke to them. I will text occasionally to say thanks for something they sent, but ultimately I have still pretty much cut them out everywhere else.

Google Trends looks at search terms compared with all searches done (in a specific geographic region and time point). That data is then normalized.

It’s essentially looking at popularity trends of is this hot or not.

I actually get where you’re coming from here regarding not knowing where the kid is and then leaving to go somewhere else. I am a parent of a 10 year old.

I disagree with the state getting involved at all beyond giving the kid a ride to the appointment or back home and talking to the mom with a warning.

The kid should’ve just stayed home and waited instead of going off on his own to where they were because they might’ve gotten done and gone home and missed each other.

Edit: And read the story in full. Less than a mile away? Oof, yeah, that’s nothing. My kid rides his bike or walks around our neighborhood, a suburb of Chicago, and has gone that far or further without my wife and I worrying.

If they have control of the house, Supreme Court, senate, and presidency then they can just change laws or ratify whatever they want including term limits for president. That’s the way I would see if going.

I think you misunderstand the plan. See, a good portion of other jobs will be taken by robots, offshore help, and AI. This leads to firing those employees at those companies where the jobs were taken over, and since there is no UBI and the available jobs will have massive competition, the people will have to take those jobs, be thrown in prison, or be homeless and persecuted (possibly executed) by authorities.
