  • Yup, people need to understand its the candidate’s responsibility to get people to come out and vote for them. If they aren’t able to do that people should blame them for being a bad candidate and not trying to reach the masses.

Kamala spent so much effort trying to court republican voters, whom would never vote for her, rather than focusing on the 35% of the population that didn’t vote. Two policy choices would have convinced a good chuck of the non voters to come out, no genocide (This is literally the bare minimum and should be easy) and one of the following: universal healthcare, universal childcare, legalized pot, or a reasonable path to citizenship for immigrants. She refused to try and win in my opinion it should have been such an easy election but she did everything possible to fuck it up and people should be pissed at her and the democrats for doing that, not the people who didn’t want to vote for genocide.

  • I would also say that you don’t need to be the person who leads a group of armed people or even in that group to begin with. The best thing you can do is think about the resistance you can provide in your daily life and if everyone does the small things that they can it will really add up. Thinking about where you spend your money and avoid any business that props up the fascist government, slowing down your pace at work and making things take longer (assuming you aren’t like a doctor or something that benefits the people), join a mutual aid group and/or donate to one, reduce the amount of oil you consume and take the bus to work one day. There are millions of everyday people and if each one started to do something small it would be huge.

  • You can dig a tunnel that is at least 6ft down and 100ft long that leads into your home at one end and up to a narrow opening on the surface on the otherside. Then add a fan that blows air from the tunnel into the home. This will function as a natural AC unit. It is a lot of work to accomplish but can cheaply cool a home as long as its maintained.

The science behind it is that the temperature under the earth past 6ft is around 55 - 65 degrees Fahrenheit depending on your region of the world. The fan will then draw the air through the tunnel where its cooled and pushed into the home. The tunnel doesn’t have to be that big just like 2ft in diameter. Though mold can grow here so you would want to use a material that is resistant like a smooth walled plastic pipe for your tunnel.

  • The solution is to focus on our education system and possibly start requiring school before people can do certain things. I think for example in order to have kids you should be required to take a parenting class for a period of time. I mainly bring this up because my wife is a teacher and at least half of her students each year have parents who either don’t want to be a parent or have zero idea how to be a parent. Some form of required education will be a barrier between those who don’t want kids and useful for those who don’t know what to do. My wife and I fostered kids for a period of time and we were not only required to take classes before we could but we had to redo those classes each year, and that was just to foster kids not have them for example.

Its not perfect but too many people are having kids and not doing anything for themselves to be prepared for that, they just rely on the schools to do everything and there is only so much a teacher can do for these kids. My wife who teaches elementary aged kids has had on numerous occasions to teach children how to wipe their own butts because their parents won’t do it themselves, this isn’t something a teacher should have to do but its either she explains it to them or deals with a stinky child all day who is upset because of it. This is just one example and there are numerous others.
