People can be in desperate financial situations and still have a car. Hell for some people that’s their only shelter. Begging doesn’t really get you a lot of money, so that family might’ve been desperate for a different reason than being homeless.
I’ve been couch surfing homeless before and that was rough enough. People begging for money have it way tougher. Just because there might possibly be someone who has a house and a car behind for money doesn’t mean it’s a scam, they might also be desperate for money despite having those things.
Begging for money isn’t very lucrative.
If you have the cash and want to help, go ahead and toss that starfish, but if you don’t want to don’t pretend you’re taking the high road.
Sometimes they are allergic. Sometimes they aren’t hungry and have no way to store the food you give them. Sometimes they are sick of the same food because there’s a taco bell nearby and that’ll all everyone gives them. Sometimes people give them stuff that you need to cook and they have no way of cooking it. There’s legit reasons why someone might turn down food if you try to give it to them.
Man, could you imagine if there was a single meaning to life? That would be miserable. Every single action you do would have to be for fulfilling that one single purpose and if you were doing anything else you’d be failing. Want to play video games? You’re not fulfilling The Purpose. Eating, sleeping, taking a shit, sure, it’s to keep you going for The Purpose, but it’s also failing to work on it in that moment. Taking a vacation would be blasphemous.
Meaning is something applied to things better by people, and I think I prefer it that way.
“don’t talk to the police” is above for not incriminating yourself and also not reporting stuff that isn’t hurting anyone. If you think someone is kidnapped or missing you should call the police immediately. If they want to interrogate you then don’t talk to them and get a lawyer there asap
I think only 50% of people have passports is because most people can’t afford to travel and a bunch of them that do just wanted to visit Canada or Mexico

I’ve decided to actively take the flag back from conservatives. There are some good ideals and good people in this country, and good people who fought for those ideals. I’m not proud of most of what the government has done and all of what it is doing now, but I can be proud of the people who want to get along with everyone and fight for diversity and freedom and the good things that should be fought for.
I dislike words with the nasal E sound, specifically meal. I don’t know what but for the last three years I can’t stand the word meal. “Oh I hope you had a good MEEEEEEEeeeeal”
Outer Worlds. The premise was so great. A criticism of restrictive hyper capitalism in space? With an art Nouveau flair? Made by people who made Fallout? Sounded right up my alley!
But it just sucks! The intro is trying to be like Rick and Morty, you don’t personally have to deal with any restriction from the capitalistic society (hell at least BioShock threw in pay toilets once in a while) and the story just didn’t get me at all. You’re just kind of there. You don’t feel like you’re rebelling against the system or indulging it, you just are an observer. You don’t feel like an oppressed worker you feel more like a documentary crew. But even then it doesn’t really feel like the situation is really bad. And there isn’t really any tutorial to speak of. Sure, if you have played games a lot you know pretty much how everything works, but the mechanics are just dumped in your lap.
I’m just some schmuck on the Internet and I could’ve written a way better start to this game that lets you actually feel something.
When a fan made rap video makes you feel more of the alleged theme than the actual game does, then you’ve kinda screwed up.
