How is asking for more information to get a better idea of what is happening a bad thing?

Fifty plus here and yes I still play. Two fifteen minute breaks and a half hour lunch so I game during that time. Plus a couple hours on Monday nights and same on Friday nights. Gives me a little time to unwind. Definitely not middle class

Since this is a reboot. I do not care who plays what parts. Nor what the story is or isn’t. I’m not watching.

Had they not made it a reboot but a continuation of the story, or even a story set many years before the original movies. I’m not talking a prequel that is a direct tie in, but maybe a new story but set in the past. Then I’d be interested. I’m done with reboots.

The difference is back then you’d only have news for example in the evening. It wasn’t going to be 24 hours a day seven days a week.

A good answer

In between my junior and senior in high school, my mom, and I and my brother were told that the house we were renting was being sold.

We had no place to go nobody would rent to us. That meant we were homeless. One of the neighbors let my mom sleep on her couch another neighbor let me sleep on their couch, a third neighbor let my brother sleep on their couch.

After about a month or so that my mom was able to get an old beat up trailer house from a relative. No cost we just had to figure out how to move it. It wasn’t gonna last for much longer than a year, but at least it would be something.

About a year later, Habitat for Humanity was able to get us a house. For those who think that means a free house. No that is not a free house. It’s a mortgage for the house at 0% interest. You repay the mortgage.

Your normal doctor will not have a good answer for you. You need to see a spinal specialist. Or a specialist for your back. No an x-ray will not show you what’s wrong. You will need something better like a MRI. Better to go and know then not go and regret it.

Tell your mom you and her need to go to a therapist. Maybe a therapist can help to figure out how to move forward. Then tell your dad the same thing.

Maybe some of what was going on behind the scene will come out.

No one on lemmy will be able to give you a good idea of what to do or how to move forward.

I mean, look at what everybody is saying. Really read it. They’re all basically saying, make a decision without all the knowledge. There might one or two are saying something else, but I may have missed them.

Some are saying go live with your mom well that’s making a decision. That’s picking a side. Some are saying stay with your dad. It isn’t between you and your dad , it’s between your dad and your mom. But again that’s making a decision without all the knowledge.

Social media will give you a reactionary view in general. A therapist will sit you down and ask questions of not only you but also your mom and your dad. Then you have a better idea of what is going on. You may not have all the picture but at least you have an idea.
