351·15 天前Devs not working together to make Wayland universally supported and bug free ASAP or fixing X11 ASAP. With Microslop Windoze being as horrible as it is we cannot permit ourselves to fight these silly internal battles; as long as someone is not bullying, raping, killing, or, you know, peddling crypto and cheering ICE, then give each other some slack.
As for daily usage I have no gripes. Linux works excellently. If I still gamed as much as I did back in the day then these shitty kernel anti-cheats would bother me,* now I simply don’t touch them.
*Not a Linux problem but an anti-cheat engineering skill issue. Looking at you EA; RIP Battlefield 1.

- With every “Save Image As” → “Share” cycle the picture quality tends to degrade. Sooner or later the signature becomes illegible or simply cropped out. Just look at the image quality difference now, after only being one day old!
- Moreover, few people click a link to the source to check out the artist. But, even fewer read the signature, search for the name, and start browsing from there. Let alone the hassle of reverse image searching.
Respect the artists, add the source. Goddamn it’s not that difficult: Tommy Siegel @ https://imginn.com/p/DSnDl53Dvhd/.

Not disagreeing with this, I simply dislike photography that distorts reality to such an extent where it no longer reflects how anyone would experience the scenery. E.g., editing a photo were a 1% fog during the golden hour is being photoshopped into the fires of Mount Doom. Sure, professional photo editing or concept art is beautiful, but that is not photography anymore.
No edits, real mist. Perfect.
4·2 个月前If you need to monitor operational processes from within a browser I wouldn’t recommend Zen. If you don’t, damn, that sucks ☹. I hope you can at least install uBlock Origin in vanilla Firefox.

Zen is a feature powerhouse like Vivaldi, without the bloat. LibreWolf is privacy focused and ships with uBlock Origin by default.
Zen is my main browser. LibreWolf at work for stability. Waterfox works on PC and Android, but I only use it on the latter so can’t vouch for its performance on the former.
There are even more Firefox forks, but these are the one’s I use.

About 10 years ago a friend discovered Linux during his studies and suggested I try it out.
I haven’t looked back ever since.
