My parents have been asking me to do this for multiple years at this point, I need to make sure I do it next time I visit (they’re on win 10 though so it could be worse at least)
I’m sorry what??? I switched from 10 to Linux becouse of how bad 11 was, but that sounds ridiculous even for Microsoft
It really dependa on what you play, tbh I don’t know anyone that plays an anticheat game, but a very easy way to see what does/doesn’t work is just this site https://areweanticheatyet.com/

If it becomes impossible to block ads I’m blocking the site, because at that point it’s unbearable
At this point I call it XXX
I hate apple and yeah, Apple is far more important to me than some porn site (that’s what the X’s are for, right?)
Personally i’m all for it, no one I know likes it and even the most aggressive linux hater I know has switched to saying that they’ll probably try it after win 10 eol
Best advertising campain I’ve ever seen, just not for the product they are trying to advertise
Which doesn’t solve the problem for either me or the person who asked the question, yes I know better than to get a Samsung now, but I plan on keeping my phone for as long as I can regardless
Saying something we already know doesn’t help anybody
“Buy a different phone” is not an option for everybody
I don’t think of apple browsers as anything other than flavored safari, so I forget to count that as firefox
Firefox not only let’s you view tabs from your PC on your phone, it let’s you install extensions (like ublock origin) on the mobile browser
One one hand fair, on the other, why trust either?
I don’t know about you but trusting google with that sorta thing just seems risky to me
PlutoTV I like cause it may have ads but it’s free and you don’t need an account, paying for a system where you watch ads and random streamed content is something i will never do (and no, I never had Live TV either)
Iirc technically it started with XP service pack 3
Interestingly those are all games where the devs themselves decided not to be compatible, LoL was even compatible earlier this year before they implemented their current anti cheat system
Personally speaking client side anti cheats, particularly those that run at kernel level, are something you’d have to pay me a significant amount to install on my computer, but that’s me
You think it’ll be optional?
