I just want to play fun games that have a great and comprehendible story.

They would also need to be natively made for PC (along with any other platform that the devs/pubs might want). I understand why console ports exist but one can wish.

Some AAA game examples/concerns off the top of my head:

MGS V ? Fun gameplay, couldn’t make head or tail of the story without viewing content from others, and still I feel it’s way too confusing.

AC ? Things were in a good direction from a story standpoint at one point in time years ago but they lost it, didn’t enjoy the new RPG-like direction as much either. Gameplay was a power fantasy thing I guess. Whether I like it or not is dependent on my mood during the session.

Skyrim ? Fun game, never got around to actually “finishing” the game because there would always be a break and I would entirely forget where and what I was doing earlier.

Souls-likes ? I don’t have a problem admitting that my skills are pretty sucky. Effort required to the rewards are pretty bad for me, and there is no particular story that I have seen other than community theories.

I’m working on my years long backlog, in case anyone wants to make recommendations it’ll probably take a long time for me to get to it if it isn’t in the current list…

My motorcycle.

It was bought due to a necessity.

I didn’t quite get the motorcycle I was looking for, and had to settle for this one from a different manufacturer. During the short test ride the problems were not glaring, it was when I rode it for a somewhat long duration that I came to know how bad it was. What’s worse is things changed and my necessity to need a personal mode of transport was eliminated, so I barely need to use it daily anymore. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tried getting a few modifications done to make it a more comfortable ride, and while it’s better than stock now it’s still not where I need it to be.

You and I are part of a very small user set. I would be happy with 5.5 inch screen as well if my SoT can be 8 hours or more.

Not quite sure about the On by default aspect; on my non-Google phone running stock android, it keeps asking me to enable RCS.

I keep clicking no because there’s a lot of ads pushed through RCS. This is annoying on top of the usual telemarketing stuff you might get due to phone numbers being sold.

Any particular resources that you trust to share proper information?

Being in a highly technical field I agree with you in wondering the point of tablets, but I am seeing a couple of people in the local transport use it as a replacement for pen-paper with an added advantage of collaboration on a document with multiple people.

I’m not bothered to check, but tablets might be cheaper than 2-in-1 or otherwise touchscreen PC laptops.

The entire joke that Last Week Tonight with John Oliver ran about this was fantastic.

They did figure out having 1 service for watching a huge library of movies/TV with a Netflix. But they have started imploding because of corporate greed, which is bringing back piracy by the masses.

I click on AC Origins in my Steam install should launch the game, not another launcher which has to then go and invoke the game.

Oh, KDE on Wayland seemed to have messed with something about display for my i5 6400 + RX 6600, because when I switched to GNOME on Xorg the problems went away.

Then I only needed to figure out how to get Ubisoft Launcher/Connect installed in the same prefix folder as Assassin’s Creed Origins. I despise whoever came up with the idea of launcher-launching-launcher, and for what ? Validating key ?

I was gonna write about the fascist aspects of the country, but I wouldn’t say that it’s something completely unknown; many of my peers are okay with fascism just because there is no centerist alternative, as what we have already seen leftists are not going to be better given the same amount of power.

Once you’re on Mint’s page, just have a look over the other desktop environments (DE) offered. Screenshots will not tell you the entire picture, but at least you can have a look at what you don’t find appealing.

But remember not to really worry about the DE, you can always install another one and remove the one you don’t like.
