I don’t have one but I’m thinking of getting one. I’m thinking of using the vacuum to evaporate the alcohol, but i like your idea as well.
Just passin’ through

As a user of a small, privacy respecting VPN, Cloudflare is both great and awful. It’s great because Cloudflare captchas are single click usually while Google captchas go for infinity. It’s awful because just as often as I benefit from Cloudflare, I also get blocked by Cloudflare.
i think that if im that close to death already i would rather throw away my fear and get a lil weird for it. i don’t see why it necessarily has to be traumatizing.
i think I’ll give that a shot
did you pass through the disks or straight on zfs?
lots of people view the computer landscape as PCs and Macs. nevermind that Macs are pretty much always personal computers (as in computer hardware designed for use by a single individual at a time; non-server hardware)
i think it’s possible to self immolate without posing a massive danger to everyone. it takes precautions and training because you don’t want a molten man flailing around, but there have been people who have done so without posing a serious threat or risk to anyone else.
i think it’s less withdrawal and more your body flushing out all the cannabinoids, as well as going from smoking daily to not at all is a massive shift in body chemistry. that may have symptoms associated but may not necessarily be withdrawal, although that line can be blurry
π=5 for most hairdressers
holy shit is that what that is??? it’s fucking awful i thought that video playback was somehow really intensive on my phone is fucky weird ways that were random and annoying.
I really really like Fedora Server, but any RHEL derivative is my go to for servers. I use Rocky Linux when I need something closer to RHEL, and Fedora server for pretty much everything else. I highly recommend Cockpit as well (main reason I like Fedora server) as it has allowed me to so easily manage all of my servers from a single point.
I prefer Fedora Server. It comes with a lot of nice integrations into more enterprise/centralized Linux administration and management tools. A lot of these are FOSS so if you like infrastructure, this is a really good way to take an easy step up.
By whose metric? I’m a weirdo and by and large it’s seen as more of a good thing, usually.
Thanks for the insight. It’s something I’ll definitely consider
Turns out they put the H730 in the server already so I never got an H330. I want to test the SMART data but it looks like the newer firmware should be fine.
Ok cool. I need to update everything anyways so once I get around to that I’ll test the H730 a bit but it seems that the newer firmware should be ok for ZFS
that’s generally what I’m hearing so I think I’ll give that a shot. I’ll keep the H730 on hand as I want to do some testing with it.
It seems that the issues may be quite a bit deeper than they seem. That the cache on the H730 can cause subtle issues. Are you able to get SMART information from the H730 for the disks?
Thanks for the really helpful perspective!
yeah, I’m pretty radically left as it is but I’ve seen a few tankie posts and boy are those threads to stay away from.
