First, want to respond to my question? Are you actively doing anything meaningful to help change the world in a positive manner?
Oh is this a homework assignment I’m required to do? Then Gosh, yes Sir! I am, all the time. Do we want to phallus measure each others social impact and see who has the right to talk, is that how this works? I think my social work resume is pretty far above average. Pretty likely better than yours.
But are you pretending you’re able to be convinced by anything I say? I think you’re simply here to troll and get some jollies by being angry. Some people just enjoy being angry. Or maybe its that you are looking for anything to not acknowledge that you got played into maintaining a lame status quo, that you explicitely supported genocide probably without even bothering to try to push back, and that you still lost. Same as everyone else.
It amazes me that you and your ilk are not even bothering to even ask why the dem candidates made a choice to support genocide, you are on lemmy whining why didnt everyone else support genocide and you see nothing wrong with that, and assign zero blame to the leaders who made a choice to support genocide. You hold them to no account whatsoever.
Pathetic.
likewise.
I see it now-- so if more voters had fewer morals, lower standards, and were more open to manipulation, we’d have better dem leaders doing less awful things. Makes perfect sense. And-- If Harris were in charge today theres no way she’d be supporting this zionist adventure, right? No way. Not a chance.
They may have convinced themselves or others that this is what they did, but it was, in fact nothing of the sort.
Thats not for you to decide or dictate.
We all know that Harris had a path to victory and she didnt take it. I suppose its easier for you to demonize the voters who tried to pressure their party to do what we all know is the right thing than it is to pressure our leaders to run a competent and moral campaign.
So you’re just lazy and unable to effect meaningful change, beyond shouting into a void on an anonymous forum, right. I imagine if we all just mute your complaints you’ll kick your dog and blame it for the loss, so I guess we’ll just wait for you to whine yourself out. I’m not in favor of dog kicking.
Thinly veiled attempt to get rid of juneteenth. So just the usual rightwing racism.
I dont know, seems like the golf course is the absolute best place for him to be.
it’s important Democrats change to energize voters and reach out to more non-voters.
I havent seen Dems fight much of anything or anyone except progressives in their own party since the election. They keep joining the republicans on vote after vote too. How do we evangelize … that
Its almost as if the dems were actually doing something. Almost.
Its sad really. They think this makes them good Americans, and probably satisfies their personal insecurities. You can tell by their stance they feel pretty powerful, but they look like clowns, and hiding their face makes it pretty empty, like kids playing sheriff.
Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.); Cory Booker (D-N.J.); Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.); John Fetterman (D-Penn.); Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.); Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.); Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.); Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.); John Hickenlooper (D-Colo.); Andy Kim (D-N.J.); Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.); Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.); Alex Padilla (D-Calif.); Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.); Adam Schiff (D-Calif.); Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.); Mark Warner (D-Va.); and Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.).
Some surprises in there. Not shocked to see Booker in there, that guy sucks. Slotkin and Fetterman, no surprise at all. Ken Martin letting Slotkin give the state of the union rebuttal was pretty awful. He might just as well have picked fetterman. I hope Ken Martin is proud of himself.
It saves the most time if you just talk to Walz’s AIPAC rep if you want him to do something.
I find that mimicking their gestures to show that I understand their pain helps start the conversation. If you are not wearing a pearl necklace you can clutch, you can and should carry a fancy handkerchief and bring it to your nose as if to ward off a bad smell. Thats my goto when someone uses uncouth language when talking about cancelling SNAP, deporting children, or expanding our support of racist genocides.
They have contingency plans to invade every country. Hegseth is an idiot.
Cops arent even scared to do their illegal violence on camera anymore. Things have gotten steadily worse when it comes to cops. And even californian lawmakers, often accused of being the most leftist state legislators there are, do nothing – except for some pointless both sidesism. The governor should have been out in the protest if he wanted to be elected president.
I’m disappointed that Newsom didnt call this out very much. The police activity was wildly unacceptable and often aggressively criminal-- on camera, and still no one in power did anything about it. And he wants to run for president? He’s the wrong guy to meet the challenges of our time if he cant control his own states police force’s wildly illegal fascist far right behavior…
they elected him primary leader and then he shat the bed very publicly. Now the party is very publicly breaking with their support for Schumer and using him as a prop for how they’ve changed. (spoiler alert though, they havent changed).
No one is interested in slapfighting. Cut it out.
