That is a very important apostrophe.

That is a very important apostrophe.

Was he right tho?

“2026 will be worse if we don’t course-correct.”
And course correct means? Don’t think we’re gonna like the answer.

All three has decent odds

But you see, only one side wants to punish the people I don’t like, so… the choice is clear. /s

Even if it weren’t fuck nuts suggesting it, this is surely a bad idea. We need direct sunlight to hit the earth. The problem is the dissipation of the heat generated by that light due to greenhouse gas saturation. Blocking the sunlight in the first place WILL cool the Earth, but with the cost of decreased capacity for plant and algae life to carry out photosynthesis and, thus, remove carbon dioxide from the air and produce oxygen at a minimum. Seems like that would contribute to the greenhouse gas problem, rather than address it, with the additional consequence of reduced yield for crops. I’m sure there would be other consequences too. They have the potential of being MASSIVE!

Frankly, I doubt he even actually writes the letters. Even his toothless threat is probably empty.

You mean the god that prioritizes fealty and “love” for him alone over virtue, righteousness and good works? One who will give entrance to heaven to a life long sadistic, violent, and self-centered man who repents in his death bed, but will eternally condemn a man who has fed and clothed millions, who saved lives, who reformed bigots and criminals but questioned the existence of God or worshipped another. Compared to Satan, an angel that wished to overthrow this selfish god. Who values knowledge and choice in humanity. Who rewards ambition and creative joy. Who is stuck in hell with the rest of those condemned by the Almighty. I mean, is really no wonder many Christians are how they are.
If you haven’t, read Horns by Joe Hill (skip the movie, it’s not the same). It plays a lot with this dynamic. The protagonist isn’t a hero, isn’t “the good guy”, but has a righteous cause and when God fails him, the Devil steps up.

Let’s stop pretending like MAGA republicans are upset about the state of SNAP. They get to destroy a program that they already wanted to destroy and get to try and pin the blame on Democrats in the process. It’s a win win for them.

I think the Internet was a mistake. I blame it.

I really hope we get to that point. But we are trending the wrong fucking way for that right now.

That said I would vote AOC at the drop of a hat because she’s a woman and I want a first woman president to happen.
Stop. Just fucking stop. We should absolutely have had women be President by now and that is a valid desire. But it is not a good basis on it’s own to decide your vote. Be more discerning.
Additionally, she’s smart and has been on the side of the people.
These are good bases for deciding your vote. Policy, ethics, character, competence, intelligence, etc. These are reasons to vote for AOC. She is a good choice in all those regards. These should be your first reasons, not her vagina.
As an example she has not shot any of her dogs.
Again, stop. AOC is a good choice on her own merit, not just in juxtaposition to the craziest crazies of the right. If you set the bar at being “Not Trump” or “Not Kristi Noem” or not whoever, that’s where people get the idea that your candidate has nothing else to offer.
Assuming we get another election, if it ends up coming down to Newsom v Trump, or Vance, or whatever GOP goon builds enough of a following after Trump kicks it, he’ll almost certainly have my vote because the alternative is insanity. But Newsom is a classic neo-liberal pro-capitalist, anti-homeless opportunist. He only looks good next to Trump. On his own, he’s a greasy sleezeball classic politician. If we want real change, we need a true progressive.

Please. Please don’t. We don’t need any help from you, Neo-liberals. Give the Progressives some room.

You know what’s crazy? The show has existed for my entire life (I’m 36), but I’ve only seen like 5 episodes ever. And the movie.
When I was around 6 or 7ish, i was just getting into stuff like that and had seen the show a couple times. Then my grandma saw some thing on the news or at church or something and ranted about the show so much, about how vulgar and terrible it was. So my mom decided I shouldn’t be allowed to watch it. I was an obedient child, so I didn’t watch it. Then my older friend introduced me to South Park a year or two later, and mom hadn’t said anything about that show… I never really got interested in The Simpson again after that.

"Camel or dromedary? That’s a new one for me. That is apparently the name for a one-humped camel.

Fuck I really don’t want to see her face or hear her talk more. Her ads will be maddening.
