Our previous experiences with companies being hacked and leaking personal information on the “dark web” with little consequence to the bottom line anecdotally proves otherwise.

I feel like the headline and all these comments have WAAAAAYYYYY too much faith in the technical savvy and/or privacy concerns of the average pc user. They are not committing suicide. They know that a very small minority will be upset by recall and AI but the vast majority don’t know enough to care and definitely won’t take the time to learn about why they should care.
Greenhouse gay asses
Yes appointed by Trump but confirmed by 11 Democrats and 45 Republicans. And we could say those not in the roll call tacitly voted to confirm so that’s another 13 Democrats who confirmed her. Trump can get fucked, but just like Biden, the president was/is not solely responsible for what happens in the world.
Do we really have to wait a whole week for closing arguments? Just get the hung jury announcement out of the way and let in him off Scot-free, yet again. Can he just have a heart attack already? Sick of this
Darn. He is such a loser! I was hoping for him to show up and get humiliated (even if it would not be reported as such)
“President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have both accepted an invitation from CNN to debate on June 27…”
According to the npr story I just heard Biden’s team did set “microphones open only when it’s the candidates turn to speak” as one of the terms. Also no live audience, only candidates and moderator in a studio.
Interesting! I had never heard that definition before. It’s always been a single rate across the board with deductions still included whenever I’ve heard it discussed. I’ll believe it though. Investopedia, while focused on the greediest of society, at least knows economics.
edit: weird words changed. swipe keyboard got the best of me.
“A flat tax is a tax with a single rate on the taxable amount, after accounting for any deductions or exemptions from the tax base. It is not necessarily a fully proportional tax.” Wikipedia
Ahhh you aren’t using the current definition of “flat tax”. Flat tax is a single rate across all incomes. It still includes deductions, exemptions, credits etc.
I don’t know the correct term for “no deductions tax”. No exceptions? Non adjustable?
Your bracket concept is how it works now.
I think you forgot the /s or some people won’t get it. Also it should go back to topping out at 90%
I think I see what you are saying but that’s a terrible metaphor. Is it an old saying I didn’t know? I don’t think arsonist is a paying job; there are waaaaayyy more opportunities to be an architect than to professionally illegally set buildings on fire.
Just providing feedback on the community sentiment I’ve noticed on your posts.
I’m assuming you can’t see downvotes on your instance. You’ve been heavily negative percentage on these for a while now. Just put the song title right off the bat or keep them in a different community.
Bungle in the Jungle?
Tin soldiers and Nixon’s comin’ We’re finally on our own
Nothing has changed…
Apparently 3 years is “quickly”
Where did you see that information? Genuinely curious cause I love losing all hope again and again.
I work in healthcare IT. EHR clients and other necessary software that hold PHI (protected/private health information) run only on Windows. Recall seems to require a PC with a discrete 40 TOPs NPU so none of the current workstations. There is an opt-out already so I’m sure, though not positive, it can be turned off with a group policy.
I, optimistically, think this is a moot point for businesses. The goal is to get consumer data to sell not lose business purchases.
Cynically, I think it will be forced on consumers with, eventually, no option to turn it off.
