honestly i don’t know what you did to mess up a windows install like that, but i agree overall that linux is easier. However there are quirks that can arise for a new user that will eat time or seem daunting.

good stuff, glad to see this opposition.
Also slightly related, but I’d absolutely hate if I were an employee having to work on this project and having my name attached to this. Quite embarrassing for all those involved.
i just searched and it looks like there’s already one on an instance
I’m pretty much new to lemmy so i don’t even know how communities are made
I agree, affinity programs are really good and i’d rather see those on linux
Strongbox for ios works with keepass formats.
Quit work and start a new hobby to spend serious time in. Not sure what that would be.
I noticed that when I enabled 2fa. the URL with the auth code didn’t show when I enabled 2fa and clicked save. I had to refresh the settings page to see the 2fa . A bit of a weird bug it seems.
Not entirely sure what else you could do.Might want to contact the instance.
Same here. The switch is much more enjoyable.
Give it time.
Exactly. Reddit was once new compared to their competition, stumbleupon or digg. This time why not opt for the Foss alternative.
Yes. I plan on using lemmy over reddit from now on. There are enough similar communities here. I’ll have to keep using reddit if i’m searching for something and it comes up, but i don’t plan on actively using reddit anymore. They showed their true colours: a company’s whole business model built around collecting and displaying user content and then has the nerve to pull that they did on 3rd party developers?
They didn’t want app competition because they needed to serve ads in their app.
seems counter intuitive… each incognito window should be separated into their containers.
seems like a good idea to take that container addon and apply that to incognito.
