Coincidentally I rewatched POTC1 last night. Your timing was great on this one for me specifically.

4·20 days agoYeah I’m in a (primarily) Windows shop too, but we have many Linux servers that I manage and maintain. My DD at home is CachyOS, and I’m very familiar with management of a fleet of Ubuntu servers. I’ve already told the guys on my team I’m ready to just switch at work too. Might cause me some management issues at times though because of needing Windows Server management tools (e.g. RSAT), but I suppose I could jump box that.

3·28 days agoYeah I gave up on flatpak when I wanted to use it with Steam + gamescope + gamemode + MangoHUD. It just wasn’t worth the hassle of configuring all the permissions, especially for someone who doesn’t mind updating the native install.

4·1 month agoYeah agreed. I only like white chocolate in a couple ways, like in a white mocha, but I’m general is pretty gross imo. I have a close friend who I agree with taste in food nearly completely, except when it comes to chocolate. She ONLY likes white chocolate and it baffles me how her taste buds have failed her so completely.

303·2 months agoLet’s get it right, Democrats are on board, but they aren’t liberals. Of the two parties, they are more left than Republicans, but still conservative, not even moderate. The US has no dominant liberal party at all. Democrats would like you to think they’re liberal but only because it’s a convenient talking point when debating Republicans.
Whoa, congrats! I should check my high score too… OMG would you believe it?! Me too!

2·3 months agoYeah I can respect that, I have one bank where the only account I have there is a credit card now that I paid off my loan. Their app is terrible and half the time it doesn’t load on my home network because of all my ad and tracking blocking on my DNS server. I just want to check balances, you assholes. So yeah that one is strictly browser only for me.

10·3 months agoChase supports push notifications via their app now, so at least they’re moving forward toward something a bit more secure. But yes, I’m so pissed that so many banks use SMS when it’s known to be easily spoofed.
Lol and now yours is the one not spoiler tagged because of the quote.

Technology@lemmy.world•How the regime in Iran jams Starlink and what people could doEnglish
12·3 months agoYour mistake is thinking it’s a hive mind in the first place. People argue on here all the same as they did on Reddit. The only things the fediverse provides us are avoiding a highly commercialized forum, freedom of app choice, and controls in what instances we accept communication with. Probably some other major things, but those are my top three.
Just stop yelling into an obvious echo chamber and find communities you’re more aligned with.
