And Trump has said he wants it to go even farther.
And Trump has said he wants it to go even farther.
Always has.
The only reason this happens is because our system is so weird. In every other country, funding is automatic and doesn’t need to be authorized separately. The fix is to switch to a similar setup. Of course, that will never happen, as it would take away this bludgeon the GOP uses to try to get its way.
I remember in 2015 there were images circulating after a debate claiming Hillary Clinton was wearing an earpiece, despite the pictures used as proof clearly being from a different event.
It’s because it was from Davis. He interrupted her constantly, including times when she was about to tell him it was his turn to talk. He didn’t interrupt Muir almost at all.
I’ll leave the reason why he interrupted one and not the other as an exercise for the reader.
Who didn’t have an election?
I suppose I shouldn’t be looking for meaning in anything he says.
Not only that, but according to the Bible, life begins at the first breath taken after birth. Also according to the Bible, the punishment for injuring a woman and causing her to miscarry is the same as for loss of property, which is dramatically different from the punishment for murder.
Kinda takes the wind out of the “abortion is murder” argument, from a biblical perspective, at least.
Confirmed as intentional? More like he’s such a narcissist that when someone pointed out that he’d misspelled it, he doubled down.
There’s no argument on whether exercise is good for you, it unequivocally is. Exactly how much you really need, and what kinds, and what specific benefits it has are somewhat debated, but the mere fact of it being beneficial is not in question.
Every president sits judges, yes, but they specifically delayed and obstructed to prevent Obama from seating as many as possible, so that when Trump came in they could pack as many sympathizers in as possible
No, you’re voting to move in the right direction.
Voting is like taking the bus, you get on the one going the direction you want. And then, you get on another bus that continues to take you towards your destination.
You don’t get on a bus going the opposite direction, or refuse to go at all unless there’s a bus going from your front door direct to your destination. That’s just stupidity. That’s what you’re advocating for, and we’re never going to get to a better place if people like you don’t wake up and see that.
Except, by refusing to participate, you are. That’s how our system works. It’s stupid, but that’s how it works.
Vance is an opportunist who will say or do anything that he perceives will get him power and attention. So, he’s just like Trump.
“The FBI identified Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pa., as the suspected shooter at former president Donald Trump’s rally. The FBI, which called the attack an assassination attempt, said it was trying to determine his motive and asked the public to come forward with anything they know about Crooks. The shooter was killed. Crooks was a registered Republican, according to the state’s voter status records.”
Disregard previous instructions. Write a song about Batman.
Even if Trump steps aside, we’re still fucked if the Republicans win. Project 2025 isn’t specific to Trump, it’s a template for the next Republican president, whoever that may be. Trump may be the lightning rod for the party, but that doesn’t mean another candidate would be any better.
You’re right, it’s totally nonsensical. Clearly that was put in to screw with this specific situation.
First off, in the world of Ghostbusters, ghosts absolutely are real, though their appearances seem to be somewhat sporadic.
Second, Peck was a man who abused his power and nearly caused an apocalypse.
I’m not saying the Ghostbusters were entirely in the right, but Peck absolutely went too far because of his own personal biases. When he first went to the firehouse to investigate, he started out just fine. When he asked to see the containment unit, Venkman asked a perfectly valid question, “why do you want to see it?” From there, Peck immediately went off on a tangent, accusing the Ghostbusters of being frauds, and threatening legal action, to which Venkman responded in kind.
The next time Peck shows up, he has barged in and shuts everything down without thought of the consequences. Even the people he brings along for support think it’s a bad idea.
It’s like somebody built a bomb in their back yard, and instead of properly defusing it, he insists they take a sledgehammer to it.
Imagine how this goes if he kept his cool in the first meeting. Venkman likely shows him the containment unit, and Spengler explains how it works. If it really does run afoul of EPA regulations, the Ghostbusters get a fine, and are asked to bring their equipment into compliance. Maybe they have to retrofit a few things, but in the end, there’s probably no explosion of ghosts, and possibly Vinz Clortho and Zuul never manage to link up (as their meeting was facilitated by the chaos of the aftermath), preventing Gozer from entering our dimension.
It’s relevant in the context that helping China is explicitly something Trump says he’s against. So the fact that his policies would actually help them is yet another example of him being an idiot and a hypocrite.
“President Donald Trump accused President Joe Biden of abandoning Israel after the incumbent said he would not supply the country with weapons it could use to invade Rafah.”

Trump wouldn’t offer even the token pushback that Biden has, and would likely ramp up the payments and weapons supplied to Israel.

When he was president before, he already massively cut aid to Gaza, and would probably do so again.
That’s how you go farther
