The average Lemmy user seems rather tech savvy. I assumed it would be something to bond over.
That’s a cool hobby :) what motivated you to start a homelab?

Vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice all make good cleaning agents.
It’s also good for stain removal and cleaning eyeglasses :D
Maybe not completely obsolete, but landline phones and fax machines.
I rarely see anyone using mp3 players anymore :(
I wish for you to find love for yourself and acceptance with those that will appreciate you for who you are. 🫂 The impact of trauma can be hard to reverse but not impossible. But the good news is that even an old beat up RV can be repaired, restored, used towards building/buying a new one.
Mazel tov! An invitation to the Jew Moon is a rare privilege :D
Just one of those pesky Freudian slips. Thinking of one thing but dreaming your mother :P
I’m sorry you have to deal with with bullies and I hope your shift change creates a healthier work atmosphere for you 🫂
I also think dreams are snippets of our minds running in the background that sometimes get patched together in odd ways :D
They can be influenced by recent events or things you think about often.
Lucid dreaming is like a real-life superpower. I wish I was able to do it.
I hope that you can find peace and closure 🫂
I like how Lemmy is reminiscent of early Internet forums and how users have a choice to share as little or as much as they want about themselves. Having online status publicly displayed detracts from that experience. We shouldn’t have to justify being offline or simply not wanting to respond right away. The internet is at our fingertips but it doesn’t mean we need to be accessible all the time.
You can put them in the freezer for use in months when they don’t grow.
Jelly, jam, compote, syrups for juices, and liqueur are all long-lasting things you can make with them.
Observe how they treat people who they don’t benefit from in financial, sexual, or other material ways. Don’t rush to be too generous with them.
With the amount of bots and fake profiles on the web, I think there will be a greater push for user verification, maybe a centralized form of virtual ID.
More efforts to make and perfect self-driving vehicles.
Gene editing as a more widespread solution to illnesses and defects.
That would counteract the intelligence part of AI…but there would be no victors in that battle.
Jason Alexander is cemented in my memory as George Costanza.
Medical tourism is a real thing. Whether you will pay less than you would in the US will depend on the country you go to and the procedure. Without insurance you are still likely to pay a lot of money at a private clinic. You also have to factor in whether you will need follow-up appointments and plan for complications because those costs plus the costs of multiple overseas trips and living accommodations will add up.
Life is Beautiful

My recommendations are more sad than uplifting, but still beautiful and emotional.
Going to make it a priority to introduce the poo of other animals into my vernacular.
“Did you see that performance last night? Absolutely yakshit!”
I’ve always found it better to let online friendships form organically based on shared interests rather than seeking them out. With the second method, there’s a good chance you and the other person won’t have much in common besides wanting to make friends, and the conversation will taper off on its own.
I hope your new chat leads to a strong, lasting friendship :)
