2 months agoDiscovery should not be a function of the Fediverse itself. It should be a tool, app, or otherwise layer on top of a baseline. Discovery is an opinionated service offering—if it’s baked in, it’s not a good thing IMO.

3·4 months agoDid you go to Settings in your desktop server instance of the app and Scan Library? This updates it manually everytime you add new files.
Also make sure your directories are appropriately structure with Movies and Shows based on their advised format of folder nesting and naming.
So many updates lately.
Do all of these amount to hot fixes? This seems like quite a flurry after the major release.
Run my client mainly on LGTV and iOS iPad.
Do I need to update my LGTV and Jellyfin version? Or is this only server side?
Jellyfin is so much better man, once setup. It’s basically the dream.
This looks so sick.
We need an encyclopedia of posts/content like this that is the masterbook of Fediverse ops and scaling “how-to.”

You should redo your org from scratch and let all the default plugins do the work. Mine looks great and I never changed anything, just followed the recommended file org pattern for Movies and TV Shows.

3·8 months agoThere is 0 chance he reviewed this edit. Thats the only reason this is probably out. He’s doing volume and trusting his people—and this is also probably the “best” cut (which tells you how bad it really is in real-time)—because as bad as he is, there’s just no way he knowingly released a cut like that with an actual peer like Jeff Ross.
Now that it’s been seen, he will obviously defend it because it’s weak to pull it. But Bill isn’t so out of touch that he’d proactively release material that makes him look like Ross is embarrassed to be there.
The Jeff Ross episode, holy cow that’s bad. I’ve never seen his personal shows. He’s like the world’s strangest narcissist.
