That’s been a core value of the academy for decades. It’s a religious cult disguised as a military academy
I’m retired and I still do this.

Grotesque.
Named windows 365 because that’s how many days of the year you’ll pay for it (and hate it).

People talk a good game but in the end most blindly follow the path of least resistance.

First and foremost, it doesn’t matter at all that it was made in 2019. It plays every video I’ve ever thrown at it and it’s still getting updates.
Second, it’s very easy to replace the launcher, as already mentioned in the thread.
Third, a general purpose computer would almost certainly be more powerful in absolute terms, it would also be much worse in terms of usability for the specific purpose of playing videos and acting like a tv appliance. I’ve used HTPCs before and worked very hard at making them comfortable to use with a TV. No matter how hard I tried, they were always clunky. As soon as I got the shield, I never contemplated using an htpc again.
This painfully stupid and also hilarious

I agree. I’m very skeptical about their claims and so far I can’t find any evidence of 3rd party verification of anything. All the “news” about their batteries is just glorified press releases.

In the context of lithium-ion batteries, “solid state” means that there’s no liquid electrolyte, rather than meaning there are no moving parts.

Can we not link to nazi coddling sites like twitter please?

They might, I don’t know. But I don’t go to the dealership anyway and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Do yo want something like this?

In most vehicles with onstar (Chevrolet mainly) you can pretty easily disconnect the cable that connects the computers to the antenna. You need to install a dummy load to keep it from turning on the check engine light but other than that it’s trivial. Once that’s done, the car will still collect data but it can’t send it anywhere. Just don’t take the car to the dealership for maintenance or they might “fix” the antenna connection for you
And basically all frozen chicken in US stores has been pumped full of brine. That includes raw chicken parts that look otherwise unprocessed.
